I am interested in attempting to achieve parallel processing and I would like to use a tool of sorts to measure my progress. My ultimate plan is to record myself attempting to parallel process, and having a tool where I can try to demonstrate my parallel processing skills would be really helpful.

There used to be a tool called "Tulpa Parallel Processing Tests v1.0", but sadly the tool is gone since it was written in Flash. I know for sure because I was able to get a screenshot from 2018 using the Wayback Machine.

Does anyone know how or where to get the source code or if anyone has attempted to create a similar tool? If not, I would be content with a different tool, and honestly, I would prefer to have multiple tools to play with.

I asked about this in the #RedditTulpas Discord server: https://discord.com/channels/814370401786003498/814418624705069058/995504967127420968

What is "Tulpa Parallel Processing Tests v1.0"?

From what I remember, the test would have the host and their tulpa count dots. Both host and tulpa were supposed to pick separate eyes as dots would move on the screen. The tulpa was supposed to count one kind of dot while the host was supposed to count another kind of dot. After that, it would ask you and your tulpa to input how many dots were counted.

I don't feel super confident in my ability to recall this tool's function, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Could I make a tool?

I do know how to write code, but I don't feel confident enough in my coding abilities to write something that would be not only pretty to look at, but also functional and easy to share with people. Also, I am hoping to make progress sooner rather than later, and if someone else with more skills can write a program or happens to already have one, I don't see much reason in writing one myself. However, if I could be of any use, I am interested in helping out.

And if I do have a tool I made?

I would love to try it out! Please share it in this thread, I bet other people would like to try it out too. It doesn't have to be exactly like the old test I linked- it can be anything you think will measure parallel processing ability (as long as you explain how!)

Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile.

I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now, but it's outdated and I can't be bothered to update it

If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me!

That's really cool! If you can demonstrate evidence of parallel processing that would be really neat to see!

I also vaguely remember seeing someone play multitask games and they could possibly be used for this, though I've never tried them myself so I can't say. (Phil is notoriously bad at multitasking let alone parallel processing!)

Oh yeah, I forgot to update this thread.

This is my post from Discord from awhile ago:

I couldn't download the packaged version Drake made (nor could I run it on my computer), but the previous set-up he gave helped.

To get the test to run, it's a 2 step process. The first step is to download the script file and then the second step is to download the flash player. After that, you can open the script file with the flash player and the test will run.

The script file:

The flash player:

What you have nfanon looks like another version of the script file
