Links To Interesting Discussion on Discord

If there's interesting tulpa related discussion that catches your eye, post it here! Ideally, please explain why you posted a certain Discord link, otherwise I and probably you would have no interest in clicking on it in the future. It's okay if it's as simple as "switching" or "A's ideas on X", just something to indicate what it's all about. I will give more wordy summaries by nature but I don't expect this of everyone else.

I realized I'm having a hard time with keeping up on Discord because I'm using the message unread feature to remind me there's interesting discussion there. The downside is I'm also missing out on just normal discussion and at any point I could lose track of it. Since I'm having a hard time getting into on-topic discussion in general, keeping a record here will allow me to bring it up again whenever I'm ready.

I figure this thread may also be interesting to read through in general and beat back against the problem of Discord discussion getting lost to time. It's not a perfect solution, I just realized it was a two birds with one stone sort of deal.

HerbM does pretty much an overview of what he has already discussed on parallel processing and (I'm assuming Darron?) chimes in. The discussion may or may not evolve over time.

So this one is interesting because you can almost play tulpamancy discussion bingo with this. It's actually multiple conversations for a good while, but I didn't want to cut anything out because there was a lot of interesting stuff mixed in. I'll try to give the highlights here:

  • Presence and how to identify it
  • Tulpas and separation
  • Tulpas and memory
  • Tulpamancy and mental health
  • Assessing attachment between a host and tulpa (with some very interesting ideas to demonstrate it proposed)
  • Creation philosophy and techniques ("fake it till you make it", "sentience from the start", etc.)
  • Guide discussion, method comparison
  • Parallel processing
  • Simulating telepathy
  • What happens to tulpas during sleep
  • Speed reading?

After that I think it ends, but there's a lot of good stuff packed into it. Some of this will have the traditional talking points you see people everywhere say, but I think it's a good snapshot of the kind of typical discussion and advice given out while also capturing experimentation and new ideas.

Keep in mind that a lot of this discussion was the end result of beginners asking questions. I personally find beginner questions important because they serve as an opportunity to refine your advice, try out new ideas, and occasionally present a wild card to challenge your thinking.

I'm Ranger, Gray's/Cat_ShadowGriffin's tulpa, and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I'm undecided on Rosalind or Rosalin, and my male name is Ronan. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now.

A beginner asked how to make a wolf tulpa. After Zen pitched in his advice, I realized he believed parrotnoia was self-inflicted and that blew my mind.

I believe this discussion has affected our advice, and you can see it in action here:

Migo asked Reguile about his opinion piece on Reddit, "Catastrophe at the crossroads of tulpamancy. Flow, structure, and morality." and this lead to an interesting discussion on Reguiles's theory.
