Ranger January 9, 2023 Share January 9, 2023 (edited) Revision Request System Staff Review Guidelines If a submission is reported to be problematic, the staff will review it and provide feedback. This post outlines guidelines staff members should follow when reviewing guides. If you would like to see more on the Request Review system as a whole, please go here. While reviewing and responding to reported guides, the staff are expected to do the following: Apply moderation action and discretion if the submission violates Tulpa.info's guidelines. Focus on investigating the reported issue. If the guide is long, the majority of the guide may not be read. Provide feedback on if there is an issue and if so, how to revise the guide to resolve the issue Staff are free to provide additional feedback on advice, structure, and grammar but are not required to do so and should not hold back a guide because of it. Since staff members are taking the time to review guides, if they spot misspellings or odd advice phrasing, they are more them welcome to point them out. However, a guide author does not have to accept these changes to have their guide moved back to a Guides board. As a rule of thumb, grammar and structure should not hold back a guide unless the formatting is illegible. For example, a gid wit rly bad formeting n speli errors can be **illejabule** and if stractur is like OMG!!! so bad bad :( , then it can be held back. Advice that is overcomplicated, odd, or controversial should not be held back unless there is concern the advice can be harmful to others. For example, a guide dedicated to making a fairy princess wonderland and tips for acting like a princess for the sake of immersion may be odd and eccentric but in the grand scheme of things harmless. It is also worth noting staff reviews may take awhile. Keep in mind the staff team has staff duties as their number one priority, not guide revision. There are no set deadlines for the staff to complete a review because staff duties are often unpredictable. To compensate for this, it is listed in the Revision Request System procedures staff members should communicate if a guide is being investigated, reviewed, or if the report is rejected why.
