Guest Anonymous September 22, 2012 September 22, 2012 I had an idea for imposition. Have a dance party, or anything really, just make sure you can't see, and then imagine your tulpa dancing or watching or doing the activity with you. Brb, gotta dance! I keep trying. Aria has some pretty crazy dance moves.
QB2 September 22, 2012 September 22, 2012 I'm pretty sure this is in the wrong board and also probably not worth a thread at all. Edit: But that's just my first guess, I guess carry on until someone moddish says something. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Guest Anonymous September 22, 2012 September 22, 2012 Aw, heck. Someone can go ahead and delete it then.
Chupi September 23, 2012 September 23, 2012 Moved to General Discussion rather than deleted. I like the idea. The brain generally responds well to music, and music often has odd and unexpected effects on it. Additionally it will be a lot less boring for both tulpa and host than just sitting and staring at her for hours. The dance party part probably isn't needed. You'd do at least as well dancing with your tulpa in your room with the lights out. Also note that iPod and earbuds should work just as well as speakers, provided you assume your tulpa will hear the music as if it's playing all over the room, as you hear it. (I haven't tried this IRL but earbud music works fine for us in the wonderland.) Guest Anonymous September 23, 2012 September 23, 2012 Oh. Okay. I just dance with a blindfold on and imagine Aria dancing next to me.
Kindofajerk September 23, 2012 September 23, 2012 Oh. Okay. I just dance with a blindfold on and imagine Aria dancing next to me. Don't fall :) I honestly think music helped immensely with me and Felicia. It was an excellent way to hear her voice when she sang along, and dancing is a great way to get used to visualizing how the body moves naturally and coordinated. Witty signatures are hard to think of.
EightyEight September 23, 2012 September 23, 2012 Yeah, i don't know the science behind it, but music definitely has a strong effect on the brain. I've been going out of my way to listen to as much music as possible since i started forcing because i feel like it's helping to move things along. Combine that with the fact that you yourself are doing the action your tulpa is doing whilst trying to impose and it sounds like a really good plan. I wouldn't know because i haven't even begun to think about imposition, but it seems to me like your brain would make that connection.
