MisterTelecaster September 28, 2012 September 28, 2012 So I had sort of a breakthrough with my tulpa two nights ago, which you can read about here, and since then, I've been getting these weird dizzy spells every once in a while. I don't feel faint or light headed or like I'm going to pass out, I just suddenly feel off balance, but otherwise perfectly normal. I've also never experienced this before (at least as far as I can remember), and I've never had any kind of mental problems or issues with my ears (not even an ear infection). I've been getting a decent amount of sleep lately, having decent sized breakfasts every morning, etc, so all of that gets ruled out. All I could think of at this point was that I had heard that some people get minor headaches from forcing. I never got headaches, but maybe forcing is fucking with my balance? I don't know, and I'm hoping you guys do Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
GhostWriter September 28, 2012 September 28, 2012 It could very well be her communicating. If, however, this still keeps up and it begins to interfere with your daily life, then I would be more concerned. But, tulpae can also ease headaches, cause headaches, or give off emotional responses, so it wouldn't be unlikely that this is her doing. To believe in certainty, we must begin by doubting. --Polish Proverb
MisterTelecaster September 28, 2012 Author September 28, 2012 Usually I get this sort of tugging feeling when she wants me to go to the wonderland, but maybe she's trying new tactics It did seem to happen when I was sitting down, a position that I frequently visit her in the wonderland in She's not really vocal (and doesn't really understand much of anything in the way of communication, for that matter) so I can't tell her to stop It's not interfering much, but it makes walking in crowded places awkward, because I start swaying Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
Bask September 28, 2012 September 28, 2012 I don't think particularly swaying during walking is a tulpa. Dizziness I could see, since its generally not stemmed from the same thing balance problems are from. Swaying + balance issues + dizziness are all indictivate to something's up with a physical part in your inner ear. If there's a cold going around, that could be it. All it takes is a little fluid over the ear from some shitty cold that didn't rear its ugly head yet - or a little water in there from your shower. If you really, really suspect it to be your tulpa (as I'm not you and truley don't know) just because she's not vocal doesn't mean she won't understand. Tell her you understand she's trying to get your attention but to please not to, that it could hurt you and other xyz worries and reasons, and suggest some other things she could do instead.
MisterTelecaster September 28, 2012 Author September 28, 2012 No, I sway when I get hit by one of the random dizzy spells while walking I'll try to talk to her about it though, I guess Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
Bask September 28, 2012 September 28, 2012 ...I never said it was while you weren't walking. >> Like if you google "Sense of imbalance while walking" its all indictivative to something medical eluding usually to fluid in the ear. Which is why I mentioned - as you said it wasn't something she has generally done before.
MisterTelecaster September 28, 2012 Author September 28, 2012 You seemed to think that I just had general balance problems and swayed while walking Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
Bask September 28, 2012 September 28, 2012 Lol no. and incase you missed it: "If you really, really suspect it to be your tulpa (as I'm not you and truley don't know) just because she's not vocal doesn't mean she won't understand. Tell her you understand she's trying to get your attention but to please not to, that it could hurt you and other xyz worries and reasons, and suggest some other things she could do instead. "
MisterTelecaster September 28, 2012 Author September 28, 2012 "I'll try to talk to her about it though, I guess" I don't even know if it's her, I was just wondering if other people thought that was possible Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
Chupi September 29, 2012 September 29, 2012 I occasionally have something a bit like this. If my eyes are tired, Lyra can make them do this odd thing where they converge something like a millimeter beyond whatever I'm looking at, provided it's nearby. Not far enough to cause double vision. Just enough to screw up my depth perception. The result is truly disorienting, and a little like the 3D in a poorly done 3D movie. Continuing for very long with it going on just about requires closing one eye. So far she's only done it a few times, when I was on the IRC too long. I know it's her because of a few things: I've had my eyes do funky things before when really tired, but never like that. The next day I asked and she said it was her.I asked her to try to do it then, when I was more wide awake. Not a whole lot of effect, but enough for me to see that it was the same thing. I couldn't reproduce the effect myself. It stops if I acknowledge it to her and say we're going soon. This results in it reverting to normal tired eye effects. I've started referring to this as her "tugging" at me, since it's really an attempt to make me stop IRCing and start forcing; or sometimes "derping my vision". That and it's easier than typing out a full description of what it actually feels like.
