It used to be tulpae but tulpas was later accepted. You can use whatever you want there's no real debate now as far as we've seen. Tulpae or tulpæ for some seemed pretentious but we like it.

def sentient by now Im sure

Most tulpas demonstrate emotion and a personality within a few days of inception; within that time you’ll become acquainted with your tulpa, the extent of which depends on how much effort is put into defining rudimentary personality traits.

You mentioned that you were following some of the older guides on here, which have a tendency to lean more towards the misconception that a tulpa is unable to possess sentience in their early days. Be careful not to get led into that pitfall, as you may end up unintentionally silencing potential responses just to keep in line with what the misconception entails.

I wanted to clarify that all tulpas are sentient in the start, which makes it less of an important term when talking about development. What you really want to focus on is sapience. The more you talk to Cathy, the more fleshed out her worldview becomes. You are giving her external influences that will ‘fine tune’ her personality until the distinction between your two perspectives becomes noticeable.  This is the catalyst that drives a tulpa into being able to create alien responses, say things you wouldn’t expect them to say, and ultimately develop their sapience.

However, I’m gonna give you a hearty reality check in advance; all of this is only achievable if you put the effort into interacting consistently. Make the majority of your conversations fun to engage in, and feel good about the process. This is within your reach, Winnie. Trust me.

Yeah, this is all the way back from 2013. Thanks for all the advice, though I do feel sorta bad at talking at general, like I really dont know what I SHOULD talk about, yknow?

((Anything and everything -- I never cared much what my host's topic was. The time and attention are what really matter. Don't stress about being boring. Your tulpa will grow to appreciate your personality and quirks just as you do theirs.))

I had a hunch it was Schlondark’s. Yeah, I wouldn’t recommend you follow most guides from that era, this one included. They may be practical in some aspects, but the majority of them base their thought process off of outdated techniques that are less efficient than modern ones.

If you’re ever looking for clarity in the tulpamancy process, don’t be afraid to drop a question down in the questions section.

There are hardly any guides being released nowadays, anyway. Maybe someday someone will step up and change that, but for now we’d be happy to help you out.

If the moment is silent, don’t feel inclined to talk. Just letting your thoughts come along in a natural fashion rather than deliberation is good.

Just narrate to them what you’re doing at the moment. Ask questions every once in a while so that they have a chance to answer. Give yourself time to pause let your thoughts simmer.

Let everything feel natural to you.

So, should I force whilst doing other stuff?? Ive kinda been doing meditation so far, but the way youre putting it makes it sound more like I should just do it through out the day? Should I do both??

So, day 5 report now. I did some talking to Cathy earlier, and whilst I didn’t get much back, I’m still sure she heard me. I feel kinda bad because I didn’t do anything yesterday, but I just have to get into the habit of doing this.

There's passive forcing, and then active forcing; what you described before was passive forcing. Active forcing is when you put all your attention into focusing on your tulpa (this could involve anything from meditation to a deep conversation), and passive forcing is just you putting all that practice into effect throughout the day, as you suggested. A walking conversation or interacting while doing chores could be a good example of passive forcing.

There are a lot of good guides out there that explain the process more; most of the rudimentary questions you have can be answered with them.

Okay so yesterday I did some stuff and got some stuff back, procrastinated hard today and didn’t get around to it though, I’ll do it tomorrow
