fennecfoxx November 4, 2012 November 4, 2012 Do tulpae typically age? I know it's probably one of those things that "depends on the individual", but I was wondering if there's a general consensus that MOST tulpae do or don't age. I'm asking because the realization struck me yesterday that I might have two teenagers and a kid forever. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past

QB2 November 4, 2012 November 4, 2012 Yep, what Jimmy said. They mentally mature pretty quickly, physical is their choice. Easiest thing to do the way I see it is to have the tulpa "level up" on birthdays or whenever else they want, to a slightly older form. For most non-human tulpas, ageing is kinda pointless to even think about, though. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Tungan Ninja November 4, 2012 November 4, 2012 "They can choose to physically change, but mentally they do" -some oldfag I asked about this This can apply to the host as well, as I can attest to. It must be looked from the perception that the anatomical body is a shell, and does not represent either the "host" or tulpa.Within the wonderland, I have a virtual body, which I consider to be my definitive form (and if you are aware, it switches genders sporadically). My tulpa's virtual form is his own, and both of them are stylistic. While me and Ryouga will undoubtedly age from a mental standpoint, and the anatomical body grows older with every passing day; at the heart of it our avatars will likely not be slowed down by time, and retain our distinctive forms, regardless of what the physical body appears to be. Of course, I do anticipate some changes and deviation with our virtual forms as time goes on, but it will not mirror the physical age of the body. I do hope I answered your question correctly, and not explain something wholly unrelated to the topic. Day 290 (11/6/2013) Why even keep the time anymore? Can the cryogenically frozen live again? The first step in creating a tulpa is believing that it exists.
