Are you sure the brightness wasn't from having had your eyes closed, lol? Otherwise when we first switched, we were easily mesmerized by the senses, with textures being interesting to look at, like we were seeing them for the first time, if that's at all similar (Also, not a universal experience)

 

I would say to focus less on "your" consciousness (as that's the brain's, it can't go anywhere, it is simply utilized/plugged-into primarily by the current fronter), and focus more on positioning yourself as a tulpa, whatever that entails to you. Your state should match how your tulpa normally is (temporarily with no one fully fronting, though you'll easily snap back into the front or influence accidental "front" thoughts until the switch is done), which means having no particular personal attachment to the body's consciousness, simply existing inside it as your tulpa does. Then your tulpa can take your normal place as being the one "plugged into"/"using" the brain's consciousness, and it should be them who opens their eyes to see the world.

I don't have any advice, I just wanted to say I'm glad it's starting to work already. Even if it's only a little bit. 😊  I hope it works out soon so Sera can play video games. 😄
