A finished simple choose your own adventure with basic combat

You attempt to talk to the creature, they make wailing noises, they are restless and upset. They then turn to leave you but then fall onto a suspiciously large puddle (appeared out of nowhere, lol) and are not a risk of melting, because, errm... science!

You pull them out of puddle, they are startled and confused, but as they dry, you can make out a tear in their eye, so Reid goes to dry it with the paper piece. They now trust you and are willing to go with you!

 

You gained a companion!

 

They look towards the clock tower, the time is stuck at 9:30. You can now travel somewhere. You notice a podium with a lever that does nothing on it, yet there are many of them. You flip all of them and obtain s green piece of paper.

The clay creature heads over to the library and finds a hidden fireplace and crawls inside, there is a soft grey slab on pressed into the wall, the creature presses it and it becomes apparent that a pattern can be put in here, so the pattern from the book found earlier is put into the wall. A gate traps you three into the fireplace. It moves upwards and stops, then you all leave the fireplace to find yourselfs in a different room, an old guy casually looks up at you from his desk as if he was expecting you, and asks you for a green piece of paper.

Old man: "Ahh..! You have it. The paper, give it to me... ah... that's it, hmm... *places the paper into a book* Now... I... guess I owe you an explanation. You see... it was a terrible mistake to come here, into this book. It's been 20 years, and yet, we st... who's this chap?"

 

Clay creature: *Chewbacca noise*

 

Old man: "That costume reminds me of something... I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway..."

Old man: *Talks about how his two sons and how they misused the power of linking books to teloporting to parallel worlds, the used the green paper powered book to stop them by confiscating their linking books. He regrettably tells you that there is no way to escape back*

 

After talking a closer look at the old mans book, it seems that he legitimately doesn't realise that the linking book thst he has can be used to escape, do after telling him how to send an email on his iPhone e 12 mini, he lets you three escape the book world and go back to the floating island, at the same place as before, in the parashoot shop. The local guards have surrounded the shop and are looking for suspects for the disappearance of the shop owner.

I was thinking of introducing chance intho the options, so each option has a certain percent chance of going well and the others percent chance of it going badly, what do you think?

 

You try to find an exit that will let you slip out of the building unseen by the guards, a small group of customers are still in the shop but are about to be ordered out of it but the guards authority.

 

Reid: "How are there still people here? We can sneek out with them."

Roza: "But what about the um... guards that'll see us outside?"

*A young woman turns around*

???: It's not um guard all outsaw...! Un guard e um leveosar! *pouts cheek*

Roza: Is that the name of the building?

???: I don't know, I don't visit mugles often. I just remembered I have to hand in an assignment...

???: *is taken over by possession* You two are my assignment! *Takes out wand and blasts a spell to freeze you both, it misses and hits a wall in the corner, which collapses with the wall, you both escape though the hole as the building leans over where the was, now covering it, the customers panic, the guards are now chasing you both in hot pursuit as they know your on the wanted poster (or are you?) and shout out battle crys as they charge towards you with raised swords. The chase continues onto a wide stone path that looks like a road, there is a donut shop to the left and a "Bunnys" potion shop to the right.

 

1: Knock over the giant donut by tipping by breaking the wooden beam.

2: Poke a whole in a gient potion barrel.

3: Slowly stop and raise arms to appeal to the guards.

I think an into would be nice. you could put the percentage right by it to. Like:

Also, Nightfall was the one who picked "sneak by", so you got the right one to initiate the plan. 😄
