Sarah: Yes... but how does that make interacting with them any easier? Reina: Erm... experience? Sarah: I would rather learn at a safe distance. Reina: Are you scared of them? Sarah takes the group to Sunida River and they take the Asakusa-Odaiba direct line to the artificial island of island Odaiba in Tokyo Bay, they are now on the boat, Reid and Roza sit with students on one side, the rest sit on the other. Amanda says that she believes that there is a special book on the island titled "Completely Random Stuff" somewhere on the island. Sarah's eyes light up at the mentioning of this book. System: There were a 7 CRS books, and Ryan's Keep is the gateway between this fictional world and the fictional world that this fictional world exists in on a computer. Reina: And what's that got to do with having fun in Japan? Amanda: Eh?! Reina: Even after finding this book, w- Student: One does not simply... WALK into Mordor. Reina: I see what what there Sco... student! Student: Y'all predictable as sunrise, lamo. Reina: Hmm... *pouts while looking away* Student: Only a gamer can access this pub. Amanda: Alright... *backs off, hands on hips* Sarah: So we need to win their approval...? *turns to face the two gamer's avitars who are taking to the Scoochie controlled students* Roza: -w about that emoji interpretation before, that sounds really useful, thank you. Scoochie: It's funny because normally an umbrella is just to keep the rain off. System: "Brolly" is both an incredibly powerful character in Dragonball and a British way of saying "umbrella" Reid: I knew about the elements being connected to different attitudes, like water being emotional, and fire being outgoing, but you're saying that it's not as simple as that? How so? Scoochie: Those emotions are compatible with those elements, but emotions aren't restricted to just one form of element. Quicksand is earth's sorrow, frost can burn in rage and fire can be humble. Different forms of the same element can be connected to different emotions. Sarah: *turns back to look at the group* We don't need to find the first book... Amanda: Huh...?! Sarah: We need to write the next one! Come on! *gets up from seat, walks over to Reid and Roza* Tour Guide: The water bus has now arrived at Odaiba. Zara: What fun thing can we do on this island away from buzy streets? Reina: What? Zara: Eh...?! That was a prompt for discussion. Sarah: We should have just gone to Rokku entertainment district. Zara: Sarah...! That can wait. Sarah: No it can't! Ahh...! Wait... one thing before we go, two things! The two groups rejoin and Sarah leads everyone to Odaiba Pier to see a Statue of Liberty replica and a giant Gundam robot model. Roza presses their spade down and hits a wooden object just under the dirt, Sarah carefully removes Roza's spade from her and digs around it to uncover a wooden chest. Inside this red with a gold outer frame chest there is the first CRS book. Reina looks on in shock. Spoiler Amanda: How did you know that? Sarah: I didn't. This world is merely a game to them, it revolves around them, yet always challenges them. Zara: Really...? Security guard: Hey! What do you think your doing?! Sarah: *Throws the spade with incredible speed and curvature like a boomerang at the security guard's head which knocks them unconscious in a whish and a metal bang. She then takes the book, puts it onto Amanda's backpack and recovers the hole with a carefully taken spade from Reid* Sarah leads everyone back onto the water bus, they split again into two groups, then after this Sumida river travel everyone heads to Rokku entertainment district, there are rows of tarp-covered izakaya and many people sitting on low stools around plastic tables drinking orange juice and eating grilled cheese, there is a note saying that the food and drink served today is going to be very different from the usual. Everyone sits down as a group. Ried and Roza eat grilled cheese and drink orange juice. Zara and Reina try to encourage Reid and Roza to talk to people on the opposite tables but Reid and Roza refuse to talk to them. Sarah: Now what...?! Zara: They're taking to the students... Student: I heard a cute little dog bark, I've never seen this dog, they seen to be in the flat underneath mine. Roza: I bet you'll see them eventually. Student: Plastic jellyfish. Plastic poop. Ried: Can you give me a hint? There is a brand new arcade area with claw machines, penny pushers, air hockey, mini basketball, snooker, and bowling, Alexander and Amanda go over to this area. 1: Try to talk to the people on the opposite table. 2: Go to the arcade. 3: Eat and drink more, then talk to [Name] character. 4: Go go the toilet. If 4 is chosen Roza goes to a nearby toilet, up to the 3rd stall, at 3:33 PM. We just barely decided again the yokai option. We love yokai (and similar things) but a spooky arcade is awesome Us not wanting to talk to new people is accurate, lol. I just wanted to check in on you because I don't think I have seen you around as much for like a week. (I could be wrong about timing) Also if I ask on LOTPW ignore this message. Spoiler Student 1: Hanako-san is definitely at the toilets here, there's too many 3's for it to be a coincedence! Student 2: Look at the time! If we go now, it will be 3:33PM! The perfect time! Roza: Humm. Really...? *student 1 nods* Okay, but I don't want to open the door. Student 1: Sounds like a sensible request. Student 2: Sure! I don't mind, let's go! I'll let Sarah know. Sarah: What is it...? Student: We're just going to the toilet. Sarah: Sure, I'll allow it. Just don't get into a self hate competition while you're there will you? Student: Eh?! Sarah: I mean like... I like your skirt, it's better than mine, and you have a better completion than I do, I'm just ugly. System: A female comedian made a joke about women doing that when they go to the toilet together. Student: Okay. Narrator: Roza goes to an nearby toilet with two other students, up to the 3rd stall, at 3:33 PM. Student 1: Is Hanako-san there? Yokai: *faint voice* Yes. Student 2: Woah, did you hear that? Roza: I did. Student 1: Yeah, now what? Student 2: Are you doing okay? How was you day today? Yokai: *faint voice* You dare destroy me with kindness, moral?! Student 2: Let's bounce! Narrator: The 3 students leave and go back to Rokku entertainment district. Sarah: Roza...? Can you pop over to the new arcade over *points* with Reid and tell Amanda and Alexander to come back here? That would be wonderful thanks, more top student time for both of you! Here, takes these coins, *gives Reid and Roza a bag of coins each* you can use them to play in the arcade. Reid and Roza: Thank you! Student: Why them two specifically? Sarah: Because they're the top two students. And never question the logic of a teacher's decision. System: As a student in high school I questioned teachers too much, lol. Narrator: Reid and Roza go to the new arcade place. Amanda: This... doesn't look right at all! Alexander: You can say that again, it look like it's been abandoned, yet according to this pamphlet, it's brand new! Reid: Excuse me Mr Lavish, we were sent by Ms Honeywell to tell you and Ms Flowers to come back to the dining area. Alexander: We appreciate that but Ms Honeywell has already texted us a message to come back and we have refused on the grounds of the importance of our recent discovery. We employ you both to stay with now while I call her. *calls Sarah* Sarah: We need an excuse don't we Alex? Alexander: Hello, this Mr Lavish. Sarah: So they're with you I take it? Yes, hello. Hold o- Narrator: The lights flicker and turn off, leaving them in total darkness, the noise of doors locking is heard nearby, then the lights turn back on, Alexander and Amanda have disappeared. Roza: Ahh! Reid: What's going on?! Roza: Maybe we could... go and look for them? Reid: Yeah... but while we're here, we should play some arcade games, it's not our fault they wondered off. Roza: Yeah, that's true. Narrator: Reid and Roza look around the arcade, one double arcade cabinet stands out. Reid: *points* That one looks good, do you want to play? Roza: Sure. Narrator: Reid puts in $2.5 into the machine's coin slot. A receipt is printed out with a note on the back. Reid: Huh...? That's not a ticket, since when do you get a receipt in an arcade? Hold on, is that a note? *reads paper* Paper: Mary subject number 8: The fusion of subject number of 7 and 3 was successful, subject appears to have been granted a higher level of access to the unknown, but she lacks awareness of this ability. Roza: It guess it's just a fun receipt. Reid: Yeah, it looks like it's promoting something. Narrator: Reid and Roza take a gun controller each, Reid presses a round red button to start the game. ???: Raawaer!! Reid: What was that?! Narrator: Reid and Roza hear footsteps behind them and turn around to see an anime girl with uncanny valley realistic facial features, a giant burger hair clip, four arms and a hand sticking out of the back of the head, the arcade machine says "game start" in a bold robotic voice, both guns light up and then music starts playing. Out of curiosity and confusion Reid shoots the monster with the controller gun, which seems to work just like an arcade video game. *Battle start* = Reid - Armour: Student outfit - Weapon: Spellbook = Roza - Armour: Student outfit - Weapon: Spellbook = Items - x1 Multi ink pen with a heart at the top - x2 broken holographic proctor - x4 hair clip - x1 Really long spoon - x9 YTP essence - x1 Time capsule [Empty] - x1 Iron Sword - x1 Newt staff [0/1 charge] - x1 Kidney stone - Recipe [Note 1] - x2 Bag of coins Narrator: Reid and Roza shoot at the monster, pushing them back, the miniature versions of the monster appear on either side of them, Reid and Roza manage to coordinate their shooting so that they are efficient and keep the main monster from getting too close and defeating the mini monsters, the battle gets intense when the mini monsters start spawning above the main monster flying with helicopter hats with straps, then the minions stop spawning and the main monster runs off to somewhere, triggering a "game set" text pop-up with victory music to happen by the arcade machine, then Reid and Roza find themselves looking at the arcade cabinet as if they turned back around without thinking. The lights flicker, a fridge like humming noise is heard, Reid and Roza turn around and see small square side tables (stools) with a framed photo on each, two of them are ducks, surf scoter and a pekin duck, the rest of the pictures are of scenes where it appears that someone is experiencing some kind of deep rooted fear of some kind, such as darkness, heights, assault, kidnapping, theft, humiliation, bugs, dementia, loneliness, socialising and public speaking, these framed pictures start glowing with an anti light that surrounds them in lighr absorbing darkness, Reid and Roza gravitate to a picture each. 1: Any of these (Darkness, heights, assault, kidnapping, theft, humiliation, bugs, dementia, loneliness, socialising and public speaking) 2: Something else. = Thank you for reading! My next idea is that a scary thing happens, a person appears, and then Sarah saves you both from that person.
