EmperorPhantasm November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 Hi I'm new to the board and i was wondering if it would be wise for me to make a tulpa. About a year ago I made a series of bad decisions that culminated in a bad trip on some hallucinogens. This left me with a condition called HPPD where i am essentially always hallucinating. This comes with a great deal of anxiety and fear as the hallucinations are usually quite aggressive in nature. Could this hurt any tulpae i create? Would it make my condition worse due to actively trying to hallucinate? I'm also worried that if i did create one and allowed it those memories that it may take on the likeness of some of the things i saw during the experience.
Romm November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 I can't say for sure, but I recommend to take extra awareness and self-control if you gonna try to make one.
Koji November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 HPPD is harsh, I know someone who suffers from it. Just make sure that you don't think of anything too horrible while forcing, it can lead to the tulpa becoming less of what you want it to be, and more of what you are visualizing at the time. The only thing I can recommend to calm the hallucinations is to meditate before and after your sessions, so you separate the bad thoughts from your tulpa as much as possible. As long as your tulpa doesn't see too much of these images, they shouldn't become them. Who knows, in the end of the creation, it could help you with your problem. http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Koji-and-Catelyn-Of-Deserts-and-Snowmen
ragna November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 If you want to make a tulpa, than make some :) First of all, don't be afraid or scared. If you think it will hurt your tulpa in some way, it will. Think positive and believe everything will be fine, and it will :) Tulpa Name: Jack. Form : Fox Furry ( my avatar ). Age : 16 Birthday : November 6th. Working on : Vysualization, Naration, Wonderland _____________________________________________________ Im sorry for my Engish, It's not perfect, but at least I try.
Guest EnnervateIndustries November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 Yikes. I suppose a tulpa could help you with that problem, actually, I've heard of other people on the board with (different) mental disorders (OCD, ADD, etc.) that found that their tulpa helped a lot. Then again, the hallucinations might mess with his/her development. I suppose it's up to you.
Virgil November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 In the likely case there's no one with the experience needed to answer your question, I'll give you my opinion. The condition shouldn't be damaging to a tulpa, as long as its effects are of purely hallucinatory character. Hopefully, it doesn't affect any important functions. There's even a slight chance a tulpa could help you fight the condition. Inducing (benign) hallucinations is just one of tulpas' many possible abilities. It doesn't define them. > I'm also worried that if i did create one and allowed it those memories that it may take on the likeness of some of the things i saw during the experience. I think that's an unfounded worry. You can create a tulpa; I don't see why you shouldn't, but the question of whether it's wise is another matter. Bayesian inference
EmperorPhantasm November 18, 2012 Author November 18, 2012 So I should try to stay as positive as possible and keep my mind from wandering to those memories. I've never meditated before though, what's the process?
Koji November 18, 2012 November 18, 2012 Yes, keep super positive, it's really belief that allows most to create a tulpa. There are a couple meditation guides on the forums. This one works wonders, in my experience. http://tulpa.info/guides/horricide-meditation-guide.html http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Koji-and-Catelyn-Of-Deserts-and-Snowmen
