UnknownUsername November 22, 2012 November 22, 2012 Now I recently started working on a tulpa, about a week ago, and obviously I wanted to see more on the subject. But I've managed to read some creepy stuff on it too. For one, you shouldn't go to bed and tulpaforce while falling asleep because it can adapt your dreams. Is that statement true? Also, can a tulpa get jealous to the point of attacking you both physically and mentally? These are just somethings I've been wondering and I don't know if it has been answered. I also read that you should believe that the tulpa is sentient the whole time because it gives it more of a head start. So basically, are these true?
Nighttarga November 22, 2012 November 22, 2012 i can only awser the falling asleep part. some people say its harmfull, but personaly, to be honest, from the first day i have started tulpaforcing, i have fallen asleep like 95% of the times, and tamitha seems to be doing okay. Guest ThunderClap November 22, 2012 November 22, 2012 For one, you shouldn't go to bed and tulpaforce while falling asleep because it can adapt your dreams. Is that statement true? Yes and no. Tulpaforcing and then falling asleep is bad because you have no control over your dreams, therefore you have no control over what would happen to your tulpa. The dreams won't change the tulpa, as far as I know. Also, can a tulpa get jealous to the point of attacking you both physically and mentally? No. On top of that, tulpae have no way of interacting with the physical world, therefore they have no way to deal physical damage to you. (Ie. Punching, choking, kicking, ext.) Can they hurt you mentally? I guess theoretically they could, but it wouldn't make any sense unless you abused them to no end. Plus, I would think that they would have at least some loyalty toward you for creating them. Treat them like you'd treat any other person, would be the rule to follow for that. I also read that you should believe that the tulpa is sentient the whole time because it gives it more of a head start. So basically, are these true? Yeah, always believe sentience from the start.
UnknownUsername November 22, 2012 Author November 22, 2012 Alright, thanks, your guys's answers helped me a good load.
Queen Chrysalis November 23, 2012 November 23, 2012 You have nothing to worry. You should believe they are sentient from the start because it is true, not because it makes them sentient faster. Everypony with well-communicating tulpa report that they were sentient on conception, with the host taking awhile to realize it. http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Show-Your-Chrysalove Avatar by ~InsomniacOvrLrd.
Pinkamena November 23, 2012 November 23, 2012 I fall asleep with my tulpa working on them/in wonderland all the time. Once I fell asleep and knew I was asleep and asked pink to control the dream. Which ended right away and I woke up. Can a tulpa get jealous, yes. Can they give you a headache, yes.

Be prepared to keep a healthy relationship. It'll probably be easier than it normally is since (unlike humans) they actually know shit about you, but yeah.
