So, first time poster. yay.

I have a few questions though, and I know you may get them a lot but I cant seem to find them.

First question: When I am tulpa forcing, must I keep constant attention to the tulpa? For example, if I'm retelling her my day, do I have to imagine her with me, or can I just cycle through my memory's and narrate?

Second question: I imagined my tulpa to be an egg, while im tulpa forcing with her. Does it matter what object she is when I tulpa force with her?

Third and final question: What kind of things can I do to my tulpa? Like, do I imagine the egg, and narrate to it, or can I cycle through other things in my head?

Thanks :D

Hi Dave, awesome name, mine as well. Lets see.

1. I'm not entirely clear on your meaning, your tulpa does need to be what you're directing your narration towards, but you don't always need to visualize it.

2. Interesting choice, an egg. I presume that isn't the final form you have in mind? I would say that you should try to visualize its intended form(but not fight any deviation from it) but the egg makes for wonderful symbolism in your mind, allowing it to hatch and whatnot. I say stay the course, but other opinions would be cool here.

3. Any interaction is good interaction. That's where the egg might be a problem, your wonderland form can't do much interaction with an egg, ya know?

Cool idea, but I wouldn't be able to do half of the stuff I regularly do with my tulpa if she were an egg.

I find that it's best to decide on a form and a name (as referring to your tulpa as "tulpa" gets annoying), but make sure you tell him/her/it that they can change/deviate at any point during your time together. I enjoy giving my tulpa choices and whatnot.

Also, narration (through mindvoice or aloud) is the best thing you can do for your tulpa, in my opinion. Especially if I can't find any time during the day to sit down and spend time with her for an hour or so, I'll try to talk to her whenever and wherever I get the chance.

1) I have always tried to both visualize and narrate, however; I think that the important part is to direct the conversation towards your tulpa, as to implant in your brain the concept that it's actually there.

2) no, not at all. In my experience anyway. Then again my tulpa is a shape-shifter. . .

3) you are only limited by your imagination. You can literally do ANYTHING with your tulpa.

IE: sledding, wizard fights, snuggling, watching movies, hiking, homework, learning a new language, etc.

If everybody is thinking alike, then someone isnt thinking.

1)Yes, think of it this way. Whenever you're thinking, it's in a closed loop, just thinking to itself. No energy escapes, so nothing is effected. To direct energy at your tulpa, you have to be think to them. But, no. You don't have to have them visualized.

2) Not at all, as long as your happy. I assume that's not the final form?

EDIT: Forgot the final question

3) You can do other things, but the attention should always be on your tulpa. Some things that I did in the beginning were: Tea parties, sword fights, dancing lessons, cave exploration, philosophizing, singing, instrument playing, trolling, and so on.
