IRC half-op reporting in.

 

We're really not all that different from you in the channels, the only thing we can do different is say things and enforce them with actions. We don't let people run around like they own the channel like some do the fora.

 

We (YT, Quora and I) think that a badge like this would be useful to the community so that they can know who does what. Not to mention making it easier to contact the users on the forums with concerns about IRC moderation and vice-versa.

Niichan got it right. The reason the IRC mods are labeled is the same reason why dreamviews does it -- for ease of identification and contact. These people are moderators in our offical chat channels and thus still appointed staff members in the community.
