Josac January 24, 2013 January 24, 2013 I've been working on my tulpa for about 2 months now but for the past 2-3 weeks I've been putting alot more effort into it, but for the past week I've been feeling really slow, as in, unable to think properly, I'm really good at math usually but now I need to stop and think a moment to figure out what 12 - 5 equals. So basicly, can creating a tulpa be linked to having less brain power? EDIT: Just to clairify, I ment temporarly not permanently.
DDDowney January 24, 2013 January 24, 2013 Gonna have to say.. not really. Just sounds like mental exhaustion. Ask Rayne Storm Tumblr DDDowney's Lets Play Channel
QB2 January 24, 2013 January 24, 2013 Well consciously visualizing and focusing on a dynamic being is obviously going to be really distracting. And distractions are what slow you down from your fullest potential. So I wouldn't say "less brain power", but it goes without saying that at some point you'll experience those sorts of problems if you try to do forcing-related things at the same time as a math test. Nobody's instantly perfect at multitasking. Once the tulpa is self-sustaining and able to move around without you paying any attention to them, I doubt you'll continue to have a problem. Until then, when you need to be distraction-free, send your tulpa away for a little bit. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Guest EnnervateIndustries January 25, 2013 January 25, 2013 Gonna agree with DDDowney here and say it's just exhaustion from concentrating so hard. If it's getting to you, go easy on intensity of forcing. Regardless, it won't last and you won't have problems after a while.
Dog January 26, 2013 January 26, 2013 No... You probably just got tired and thus can't think as properly.
Plus One User January 26, 2013 January 26, 2013 Sounds like ego depletion to me. Essentially, think of willpower like limited resource. Since you've been spending extra time and mental energy on forcing your tulpa you're using up more willpower than normal, which leaves you too mentally exhausted for other stuff (like math). If it becomes a problem, you could try cutting back on your forcing a bit.
