Just as a preface, I've been working at narration since mid-December. I decided to choose almost nothing (just a name, Jade, a gender, female, and a placeholder form, a colourless pool ball), and instead go over every major choice with her once she's vocal. I've had no luck as of yet other than headaches ranging from a light annoyance to an extremely large amount of pain.

Well, the issue that I'm running into is that I can't concentrate. At all. I've tried Rasznir's guide (visualizing a canvas and writing numbers on it, ascending to 100), but it's surprising for me when I can make it up to two. Right now, I usually just narrate in the most literal of senses-I (using my mindvoice or real voice) will just say "Hi, Jade.", and carry on a one sided conversation, addressing her. I've done almost that exact same thing while on a walk, doing menial tasks, waiting on my bus, sitting in bed-everywhere really-, and for at least twenty-forty minutes a day. I've tried a wonderland, and I created an idea of what it should look like, but as soon as I try to imagine me and her in the world together, I stop. I can't imagine movement, and it's all but impossible to think of anything else.

And then, going back to narration, no matter how hard I try to say focused, my mind will flick around, and I'll find that without meaning to, I've paused for a minute. Even with a bianural tone, this is true. It's getting really annoying for me, and I've been at this for over a month. What can I do?

Usually you don't need to visualize very much if your tupper dosen't take a complex form.

You can try spreading your time out through out the day, I spent mabey 10 seconds on each visualization I did I just visualized more frequently.

I would not agree with this.

The idea of visualization is not just to know "what they look like". The reason people, and guides tell you to do hours of it, is because the goal is to get down every last detail of your tulpa's form. You want to eventually get to a point where you know them, head to toe, every detail, down to the hair on their knuckles. 10 seconds per session will likely take ages to achieve this.

That is, of course, if you are interested in having that kind of consistency, and realism. The more time you spend visualizing, the better they will look. Just as in the personality stage; the longer you spend on personality, the less deviation is likely to occur. With the entire tupper creation process, you get what you put into it.

Anyway, on topic, I really can't think of too much to recommend. For some, it seems that being relaxed helps concentration. So maybe take a hot shower before sessions. Or anything else that you know helps you relax. While visualizing, I used to listen to music, because that would help pass the time, and keep me focused.

Also, I don't think I should have to mention this, but you should always try to have your sessions in a calm, distraction-less environment. It being dark may help too.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Try instead of attempting to visualize your wonderland/the world AND Jade AND yourself, just visualize her orb. This shouldn't cause problems with her picking a form, since I did the same thing with Maia and she's got a very well developed form.

You may also find it useful to create a room in your wonderland (or something similar) that is literally just an empty room, and use that for concentrating on just her, so that the details of the world around you don't get in the way.

I tried this today, but even trying to hold something as simple as a pool ball in mind made it really hard to focus on narrating at the same time.

I personally found that Fede's tones helped me, unless those were what you were referring to as the binaural tone." The Tulpatone works best for me, fyi. Otherwise, I don't really have anything else I can say. Try working on concentration alone, there are some exercises scattered around this site.

Yeah, the tulpatone was what I was referring to. Would you be able to link to some of these guides? I can't find any.
