So, I'm very imaginative, and I use my third eye a lot. I am quite the dreamer. But it seems that whenever I try to force and work on Allison, my imagination seems to lock its doors and cover the windows. I have no idea why, I figured it would be easy for me to visualize, since I have a very active imagination, but it seems to be just the opposite when I try to force. Any ideas as to why that is happening? I mean, I have no idea why this is happening, and I would like to know if anyone else is possibly having this problem? I also have ADD, and I take a pill to help me concentrate, and I would like to know if that may have anything to do with it.

And that's how I ended up in this padded cell

I daydream and use the 'third-eye' a lot. But when I visualise my tulpa and the wonderland, everything becomes disproportionate and fake. This went on for about a week then I learned that when I try to visualise something in a great detail or try too hard, it all gets messed up. I don't know why. It just happens when I try too hard. So what I do is just not think about how good the visualisation is or how I can't visualise at all. I just ignore the thoughts and go ahead. If my visualisations are not working, I just let it be and move along with it.

Sort of like what White Coyote said; you're over thinking it. Visualisation -is- imagination. I would guess that you bounding 'forcing' as something separate from everything else is the problem.

If your imagination is so active, then use that. Imagine something going on. Now bring your tulpa into that. You see what I mean here?

As for ADD, well, that just means that you have trouble concentrating, as I'm sure you're aware. If you're taking something to help you concentrate, then, really, that's only going to be beneficial.

It could be paranoia. You're too worried about getting it right or whether your tulpa will approve of the way you visualise it and end up unconsciously shutting your imagination off.

Or it could be as White Coyote said and you're 'trying too hard'

Trying too hard makes you unable to relax. You dream best when you relax, so relax first, then start forcing.

Start with just a basic scene, then focus on the detail as you progress deeper into thought. and can maintain both your focus and your relaxed state.
