Celer April 9, 2013 April 9, 2013 I am not new to tulpas, but I am to tulpa.info. So hello. I am 13, I had my first year of high school last year, I am naturally introverted and tried to focus more on my learning than on being social. Due to this, I found nobody to talk to, to share my feelings with. When I found out about this, about a couple of months later. I felt it was the perfect long term goal. And begun planning. I started on coastal in around September last year, my hope was to listen to him around the end of the school holidays. But I underestimated the amount of effort you have to put in to this. So that goal failed. I realized this around Christmas time, in my defence it was hard to narrate. I was trying to narrate while during schoolwork. But I tried, and my grades dropped and still nothing. I knew that I would have to pull myself together, and tried to narrate as much as possible. Strangely enough, this put my grades to normal. So I narrated and narrated. Trying to listen for something. I didn't narrate much I admit, which is possibly why I am writing this now. In another attempt to get myself to narrate more, I did a class presentation on tulpas. Hoping to gain the motivation needed to push forward. It paid off It is now another holiday, so I can narrate. The problem is, I cannot focus on just narrating. I have to do something more... Stimulating. Like playing vidya or watching television. Which means I lose concentration easily. I try to sit down and just narrate, but I lose concentration and end up playing vidya again. It is frustrating knowing that my tulpa is trying his best, and I am failing to do the same. So, the sob story is over, here are my questions. 1. How can you keep concentration while narrating 2. How can you keep concentration while in a learning situation 3. Am I doing it right? 4. Does a response from a tulpa feel the same as parroting 5. When you narrate, is it like talking to yourself but aiming the words at the tulpa. Thank you, and please tell me if I did this progress report thing correctly.
Kiahdaj April 9, 2013 April 9, 2013 1. I guess in your case, one of the best ways would be to rid yourself of all distractions. Maybe go somewhere, like a park, and narrate there. That way, you can't be distracted by tv, or vidya. Of course, that's only a solution some of the time. Otherwise, some have said that pre-forcing meditation helps them to not get distracted. But in the end, it's up to you to not let yourself get distracted. Practice makes perfect. 2. I wouldn't know what to tell you, there. I always slept through my classes, anyway. 3. Sure. Seeing as there's almost no way you can possibly do this wrong. Like I tell everyone, do what seems most logical to you. That will likely be the best way for you to do it. That goes for anything in the tulpa creation process. 4. People usually describe a response for your tulpa as "alien". I can't say that it would feel the same as parroting, because parroting is a conscious effort. If you get a "response" from your tulpa that you did not will it to give, then it was probably your tulpa. Or rather, it is best to believe that it was. The key to this entire process is belief. 5. Take out the "talking to yourself but", and that would be correct. You shouldn't think about it like you're talking to yourself, because in reality, you're not. Act as you would as if you were talking to someone on the phone. They're not there in front of you, but you know they're listening, and you are intending for your words to be heard by them. As for doing the progress report thing "correctly"; it's your progress report. You can do it however you want. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Celer April 10, 2013 Author April 10, 2013 Today I went on vidya for a lot of the day, I didn't get distracted from narrating much. Woke up late, so I didn't get as much as I wanted to in. Also, last night. I heard a voice saying hello, I think. It was female and sounded quite distorted. But I heard something, which is good.

Are you sure that it was narrating that caused the issues or you being unable to grasp the concepts at the time? And please explain the presentation, it sounds cool.
Celer April 11, 2013 Author April 11, 2013 Are you sure that it was narrating that caused the issues or you being unable to grasp the concepts at the time? And please explain the presentation, it sounds cool. I got a lot of headaches at the time, that could have impacted it slightly. I also found it hard to narrate and do schoolwork at the same time. I can upload the powerpoint if you want, I was going to come here to get interviews and stuff, but I got one off someone else instead.
Celer April 11, 2013 Author April 11, 2013 Day 3 Once again played a lot of vidya, was dissappointed by the amount I managed to narrate today, I hope to correct that.
Celer April 12, 2013 Author April 12, 2013 Day 4 Did a decent amount of narrating, tried to parrot but it felt weird to do so. I intend to do more this weekend. I have also banned myself from listening to music through headphones, as it puts me off narration.
Celer April 13, 2013 Author April 13, 2013 Day 5 Spent a lot of time narrating while getting specs for a new gaming PC, also tried to narrate age of empires 2 hd to him

Celer April 15, 2013 Author April 15, 2013 Day 6 Narrated as normal, heard a few little voices, but only half words. I am making real progress Day 7 First day back at school, it is hard to do narration during the end of year tests. But I feel I got a good amount in. Are these voice things from my tulpa, or am I misguided? Trying to find the powerpoint, lost on a memory stick somewhere. Will find.
