Does anyone else feel that having imaginary friends helped you make a tulpa?

I didn't have imaginary friends... but I did have the Knight Lore. Stupid stupid mindfanfiction thing with a crossover of everything I ever saw on television, everything I saw in a movie... It was so hype.

Anyway, thinking about that so much definately helped my visualization.

Pretty much this! I didn't have any set-in-stone imaginary friends, but more often than not I would have some kind of caring, motherly princess figure in my pretend games. I'm sure there is a lot to say about my psyche because of that, but regardless I believe that having that ever-present archetype really helped me form Chrysala as an awakened aspect of my past rather than a totally new construction.
