Locked thread icon is subtle

and look awfully similar, especially the blinking "hot" variety. I usually only notice the difference after I click into a thread and see that I can't reply.

 

I would suggest one that's just a lock, or a lock superimposed on a folder.

Agree. The checkerboard is hard to see.

Didn't realize this was in a new thread, but:

I may eventually be able to get around to changing the locked topic icons; it's just that it's a matter of opening up all the image files and editing them and stuff.
