Guest Anonymous June 14, 2013 June 14, 2013 Over the course of the last few days, more noticably, dare I say annoyingly, I've been noticing something about when I try to mentally read, or think something. Or when my tulpalamas are trying to mentally think or read something. Elements of everyone's voices tend to... kind of mix with eachother. For example, I might be reading a book Splinter Cell. Apollo might be reading, then all of a sudden, his voice has a british touch to it, or worse he starts sounding like Snow. Annoys him as much as it bothers me. Or perhaps, like as I'm typing this concern, my own mind voice shifts to a british accent every now and again, or sometimes Apollo's own raspy voice. Happens less so with Celicia, I might note... but it has happened in the past (Suppose it's worth noting it's with some words more than others, like "perhaps" or "has" or "or"...) And while I'm at it, another thing that happens is that sometimes their feelings will sometimes be flowed through me, or back through them if it's from myself. For example, if Apollo's annoyed or angry at someone, I'll be angry and/or annoyed. Even more, I'll end up saying things I'd expect Apollo to say. Especially if he is, or was my main focus for a period of time before I go on something like... say, IRC. Maybe that's just some paranoia I'm having but... I suppose it might be considered a petty concern, but I can't help worrying that theres some figurative fucking going on here. Perhaps it's something that'll pass with time, but still, I suppose an opinion could be used... or perhaps a note on if there's something I'm missing. Something tells me it's a common experiance, but I'll ask anyway. Have you ever experianced this "mind mixing" before? And if so, how did (if you ever did to begin with) deal with it? Just let it pass? Or did you take action. For example, when I feel this happening... or rather what I tried to do was tell Snow to be quiet for a little while. Hated doing it, but it... it usually works when the mixing happens... And on another related note, I can tend to keep our thoughts seperate when mouthing or whispering words. Just mind voice is what I'm mostly worried about... but either way. Answer the thing plz.
Chupi June 15, 2013 June 15, 2013 A tulpa popping in to speak part of or complete your sentences is pretty normal. Also a thought can come from both you and one or more tulpas, which could cause a weird mix of voices. However if it really is a mixing of your mind and theirs, I can see that as both potentially useful for communicating complex things or transferring some abstract knowledge, or bad if it's a more permanent state. If it just happens now and then, it's useful and you should try to learn to make it happen when you (or them) want and keep it from happening when you don't. If it's a merging-together trend, have each of you focus on your being as separate from each other. That is, you focus on who you are and they focus on who they are. Basically pull yourself out of the mix. oowarrior June 16, 2013 June 16, 2013 I too, have experienced this. Many times, I will have a thought or even say something and not know who the thought originated from. It feels like me and my T co-authored the thought. Maybe, this is because I'm lacking in the ability to discern my thought from Caleb's. ~Tulpa~ Name ---------> Caleb Sex ----------> Male Form ---------> Human Stage --------> Personality
Upper Class Twit June 16, 2013 June 16, 2013 This happens very often with me and Sonya, I think it has to do with lack of disassociation or independence. This happens to pretty much everyone in the early stages. "The Question is not who is going to let me, its who is going to stop me"~ Ayn Rand
frankwilliams June 19, 2013 June 19, 2013 This happens to me all the time. It's frustrating and confusing. I like things to be predictable and make sense, and this doesn't.
