So for the past few weeks I've been working on and off to create a tulpa world/tulpa. every night sometime around 11, I grab my iPod, put on a playlist of ballads and hard rock songs and focus. I work on a tulpa, for about 5 to 10 minutes, as an original projection, then focus on a world or "wonderland" as a majority of my time. Now, I don't "see" my world too well. I picture my house, my neighborhood, just with some political differences, except with a hole in the backyard to act as a portal or gateway to my world. Now, I initially saw a green orb move in a pattern around my closed eyes. Does this mean anything? Back to what I was saying earlier, I don't "see" grass, sky, people buildings, etc. I don't see any motion. I see single images of objects and rooms in my house and neighborhood. Now, last night, I jumped into the hole, or portal. I saw black for a moment, then these purple colored swirls. Then, nothing. I opened my eyes and nothing. (By the way, I open my eyes frequently during tulpa-forcing, is that a bad thing?) Currently, I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can or should do. Can anybody help me out, give me some help or advice?. It'd be much appreciated.

I might be mistaken, but it sounds as though you're expecting to actually see your wonderland with your real eyes. Or hell--to any vivid degree.

If that is so, then you are definitely expecting too much. Contrary to what many people believe for some reason, a wonderland is not an inherently special place. It's a place like any other that you would visualize in your mind's eye.

Given that this is the case, there is no way anyone can really help you "go" to your wonderland. You just imagine it. Are you imagining it? Good--you're there.

It's as simple as that.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Yeah, don't expect things to look just like real life, especially when you're just starting. Things will get more vivid and more independent of your control as you go on.

There's some information on wonderlands and wonderland-related links in this post.

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

"Seeing" things vividly in your imagination takes some time, practice and effort.

With 30-45 minutes of daily visualization it took me about 2 weeks to get anywhere near something you'd call vivid for a few seconds, and when I started getting lazy I lost that ability pretty quickly.

If you want to improve your visualization I'd recommend you to add at least another session, maybe in the morning, and concentrate as hard as possible.
