My name is Aaron, I'm 15, male, loner. I've known about Tulpae for give or take a year now. I heard about it from a buddy of mine on facebook. I've recently read a lot about Tulpae, and I think it will be a very good psychology experiment, of course I have other/more generic reasons.

I have around 11 traits for my Tulpa, but I don't know what I want him/her to look like, and that's what I've been stuck on, (the very first step, look at me everyone! I'm an idiot!). I've been thinking a punk/rock look. but style isn't really where I get stuck, it's height, face, skin-tone, ect.

I've been working on my wonderland a lot, and it's really fun, so far it's a brick building in the middle of a forest, top floor would be the roof, floor below that is the library for my Tulpa, so it can read about me. I also have a simple cot to sleep in. so I've spent about an hour on my wonderland, I know I should only spend around 30 minutes, but I thought it was something for me to work on while I think about what my Tulpa will look like.

I'll update again later.

Hello Aaron, my name is Xantan and welcome to the forums.

Like you, when i first started my tulpa she was mostly a psychology experiment. I had read about the experience and the creation process and had to see for myself what it was like. It wasn't till after i started that i realized what this experiment really meant. It really is about creating another living person, so please be careful not to take it lightly.

I'm sure 11 traits isn't enough, but it's certainly a good start. You don't have to be in a rush to start either. Many members agree that time spent thinking about, and planning, your tulpa often leads to faster development when the true creation process is finally begun. I wouldn't worry too much about form details unless it's really important to you, mostly because it'll take time to learn to visualize it correctly. If it is important you could check out this thread: http://community.tulpa.info/thread-a-new-way-to-design-a-tulpa

You should spend as much time working on your wonderland as you feel like. Every time I go to mine I find more things I could be working on and improving. In my personal experience I found that creating a personal room for my tulpa and creating things for her to do when i couldn't focus on her really helped her develop her sentience and independence. Any time you put into a place for the two of you to spend time together will not be a waste; As long as you aren't neglecting your tulpa in the process.

I look forward to hearing about your progress, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Eleven traits is a good start, but like FAQMan said, you can never really spend too much time on personality.

As for not deciding on appearance, I was going to suggest (two days ago when I started writing this post the first time) that you take a look at the art forum. There are lots of neat ideas for tulpa in there that could be fun to try out.
