TheGuyWithTheGlasses November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 I know I should believe that she's real which I have done, she can respond to my comments without any help, but how would I actually bring her to the real world? If this helps at all, here is some info about her, and how I tulaforced her. Name: Lyra (Responds to me when I call also call her Lyra Heartstrings, but not Heartstrings alone.) Form: Lyra Heartstrings the Pony. Meditation pose: Overweight/fat people meditation (Sitting down and putting your hands together on your chest. I am fat. Sue me.)+Bathtub/Bus Time spent: 3 months. Hours: 1 per day, 2 on Weekends due to being able to do stuff on my freetime. Vocal: Yes, vocal. But she changes her voice too much. Most of them are either higher or more cartoony than her original voice.
LordV November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 The fact that her voice isn't consistent doesn't mean she's not sentient. But besides that, what do you mean by "bring her to the real world?" I'm pretty sure that a tulpa cannot exist outside of its host. My tulpa Name: Tammy Sex: female Species: Anthro (red fox) Working on: imposition
Zer0.iNSaNiTY November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 I feel like the title doesn't correspond with your problem. Sentience: The ability to act and talk on their own without your help/you parroting them. Imposition: Creating the illusion of sight, smell, hearing, touch, and/or taste in the real world in regards to your tulpa. A.k.a., manifesting your tulpa irl. I feel like you're asking how you'd impose her, not how you'd give her sentience. If she can respond to you without your help, then she has sentience. An inconsistent voice doesn't mean anything, she may just be trying to find a voice she likes, and maybe you're just hearing her wrong sometimes. So if you want to bring her into the real world, then you want to impose her, and in order to do that, welll.... look around for imposition threads, there's tons of them. [Forseen] {Muse} |Alix|
Linkzelda November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 Your question is kind of vague, since how one would “give” a tulpa sentience varies. Especially when you analyze the stream of advice/methods/processes for development (e.g. symbolism, self-fulfilling prophecies, and activities that can improve cognition and metacognition in general), at some point you’ll have to realize that just believing in them having sentience is what may lead to them having it. Sentience shouldn’t be confused with independent rationalization (i.e. being able to think on their own without having to be constrained with your conscious thoughts), it’s merely a rudimentary type of sensory awareness that allow a being to also experience subjectivity. The independent rationalization and its many forms (e.g. sapience, metacognitive skills, creating symbolic meaning) is what would presumably allow them to be more autonomous from your conscious mind (but not necessarily being completely dichotomous from how people would conceptualize the unconscious). And it also presumably means having the ability to make proper judgement and rationalization out of that subjectivity they're experiencing. And as for bringing her into the “real world,” I’m guessing you’re meaning how you can bring her into your perception of reality of the real world. There’s a huge difference between what you would internally accept as real vs. what would be real for everyone in general. It’s highly unlikely that people around you would share that perception of reality you’re focused on, which means it’s unlikely you can bring her into existence to the real world where anyone can see her. No one can really give you a concrete way to go about “giving” her sentience other than the totality of your mind that would in some people’s perspective, “fill in the blanks” that we’re unable to explain (yet) deductively, mathematically, and such. All claims to explain this are just theories and ad hoc, it’s just a matter of what you decide to take into action to bring the thought-form into existence into your perception of reality…not her having some ability to be observed by anyone's perception of reality.
