LukeDude759 November 21, 2013 November 21, 2013 Been a week since I started, so I might as well start a progress report. 11/12 Friend mentions tulpae and explains what they are. I do some research when I get home and decide I want to make one. 11/13-11/19 Started creation. Personality, appearance, basically what everyone else does in the first day or so. Once done with that, I experimented with different methods. Mostly consisted of forcing. Deviation started pretty early on. That basically sums up the first week. 11/20-11/21 Passive forced whenever I got the chance. Ellie is starting to become vocal, but doesn't talk if I don't start a conversation first. Can barely hear her, and when I do, it feels like parroting. I know it isn't, though, as I'm not consciously trying to parrot. Helpful tip for new tulpamancers: Do whatever you can to get rid of doubt early on. This is probably what sped up Ellie's development so quickly (Someone should make a poll about this in the research thread). LukeDude759 November 24, 2013 Author November 24, 2013 11/23 Tried imposition, saw a faint outline at best. Tried possession, getting better at that. Just gonna keep trying things and see what works. LukeDude759 December 2, 2013 Author December 2, 2013 11/24-12/1 I have insomnia and haven't posted a PR update in at least a week, so I figure I might as well write something here. Ellie is now vocal. She's still in her early stages, so it's hard to differentiate between her thoughts and mine. Some thoughts get through clearly, some don't get through at all, and some get through just clearly enough that I have at least a general idea of what she's trying to say. Also of note, when I'm just barely focused on what she's trying to say and more focused on whether she's saying anything at all, it's easier to hear when she says something. The problem with that is that I automatically try to focus on WHAT she's saying, and focusing on that seems to cut her off completely, or at least almost completely, so I can usually only make out the first few words of a sentence. LukeDude759 December 12, 2013 Author December 12, 2013 12/2-12/11 Decided to make this weekly since daily will obviously never be a thing. Now for the actual reporting of progress: Ellie's words are getting easier to understand, if only slightly. Simple sentences are easy to understand if I'm expecting a response, and I assume any thought that feels like it might not have been mine is hers. Yep, that's basically it. Planning to update each Wednesday. Which means I should hurry up and post this because I only have 10 minutes until it's Thursday. Whoever needed a regular sleep schedule, anyway? LukeDude759 December 19, 2013 Author December 19, 2013 12/12-12/18 WHAT IS PROGRESS. Really, the only thing I can say about this week is that Ellie's voice is definitely getting clearer, but I still have to focus on what she's saying and at least have a good idea of what she's saying. Sometimes, though, I will hear her say something almost out of nowhere, but only if I'm at least somewhat expecting her to say something. If she's saying anything anytime other than under those conditions, I can't hear her. "Don't listen to friends when the friend inside you says 'Do this.'" -Gandhi Tulpa Name: Ellie Created: 11/13/13
LukeDude759 January 2, 2014 Author January 2, 2014 12/19/2013-1/1/2014 Went on vacation, tablet's battery ran out, didn't have a charger until last Saturday. So it's been two weeks since the last update. We made some progress with visualization and communication. We're also working on imposition now, and we're making some progress there. Not much, but some. I think that's all from the past two weeks. Happy new year! "Don't listen to friends when the friend inside you says 'Do this.'" -Gandhi Tulpa Name: Ellie Created: 11/13/13
Abvieon February 12, 2014 February 12, 2014 I am surprised to see that nobody has taken any interest in this progress report. It's not very exciting, but still something. You have been making fairly fast progress, I have to say. I'm writing a tulpamancy / science fantasy novel! Tulpas & Tea Discord server. A cozy place to discuss tulpas, psychology and spirituality (or just hang out.)
