JD1215 December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 There is no exact way you should be doing it. If you've read all of these guides, then you probably have a general idea. Outside of that, you can go in almost any order - it's a subjective experience. Also parroting does not lead to servitors; this is usually outdated information from older guides. Many newer guides will tell you parroting can actually be beneficial for developing a tulpa, and some methods rely on it. And for your last question, you'll probably get a lot of answers, but my method has always simply been to ask myself "Was that me, or my tulpa?" if I was confused; my logic behind this is based on the fact that our brains inherently know the answers to decisions or questions a few seconds before we consciously think of them - so asking myself whether something was my tulpa or me is a way to know whether I was subconsciously doing something or if my tulpa was doing it... but not everyone is the same, and there's other ways to tell. Guest December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Fantastic that you're willing to give all of this a shot. I myself have only had a vocal Tupper for the better part of two weeks now. Or something. Not sure. Anyway, regarding that exact way to go about this.. It isn't there, and it's gonna piss you off to no end that it isn't. I know it got to me. I was a late bloomer, for sure, and most of my progress was marred with pissiness that there wasn't that one piece of advice, that one magic method, that foolproof way to do this, no questions asked, no doubt. That's just the process, though. You're gonna think you're doing it wrong for a long time, If you're like some of us, but that's okay, as long as you keep going. Start where you feel most comfortable. I went with Personality, then generally worked on narration for the rest of my time before vocality. Granted, it took me like, seven or eight months before I got any reliable results, but that's besides the point. I was lazy. Whatever feels right, whatever you're best at, even. And for that last question, don't worry about parroting an awful lot, but don't let it get out of hand unless you're using a method that uses a good amount if parroting. A lot of people will tell you it's not gonna hinder your progress, and create a Servitor, and that's true, but it my case at least, I fell into parroting out of desperation for results, and went into denial that I was even doing it. Three or four weeks, down the drain, but whatever. Puppeting, or the moving the body yourself is completely fine, in my opinion. Just be careful with talking to yoursel in parroting, unless that's what you're intending to do. What else. Did that answer everything? Think so. Anyway, don't worry about doing anything "The wrong way". Just keep optimistic, and open-minded, with moderate skepticism, read through the guides, and ask questions (when you've already confied that they haven't been asked and answered already via the search function cough cough), and you should be fiiinne.
Nats December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Thank you for all of your answers! I think this is a community I'm going to like being a part of :) Your answers weren't the most encouraging, I was looking for that one foolproof way to go about this, as Enny said. I'm happy I got REALISTIC answers, though. They definitely have helped me gain enough confidence to begin :) I'm going to start by meditating on my wonderland for an hour or two tonight. Thank you again!
konrad13 December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Biggest two things: 1- Don't slack on it. Choose a time every day for at least 1 hour (average appears to be 30 or so minutes, so add a few minutes to give some lean time) 2- Be prepared for anything. You might want a pony and get a human-bird hybrid. Don't try to control them too much, but also set a few boundaries as well. Me: Hey, say something for this thread! Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...
Nerd Guru December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Lurk. The main problems we've had for the past year or so mentioned in the forum are ones that can be easily resolved by a quick use of the search function. Questions about where you need to start are more likely than not easily solved with the FAQ and . A forum post, for all intents and purposes should be the absolute last place for you search for in seeking assitance--our guides section and Q&A section are large enough that you should be able to find your answers there Lurk around in the guides section. You'll soon find out that the best place to start is where you choose. Really, the techniques found here are just recommendations--YMMV, and you should use the guides and lurk, but don't be afraid to blaze your own trail--it'll make the end result and the process much more rewarding. You can't account for all factors and entering in with uncertainty is recommended--if we sought to end all ambiguity regarding this, or Q&A section and guides section would be inundated with tedious guides that took the fun out of the process of creating a tulpa. The ambiguity we outline the processes in the site with are intentional, and entering in with it there is so much more rewarding than a boring step-ny-step cookie-cutter Tulpa Cookbook. anyone who disagrees are dumb. I'm gonna put this as my sig.
