The-Syreth-Clan December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 So I've been actively forcing two days ago when I noticed Martina... pretty much doing the same thing at the same time I do at times. So when I scratched my nose for example I saw her also doing it from the corner of my eyes. Then I tilted my head and she also did so, like a mirror's reflection. Is this normal? Does it have anything to do with me visualising/imposing her doing usually the same things I do (walking, sitting, leaning against a wall) at times when we passively force?
LukeDude759 December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 I'm not an expert, but I'd think this is her way of learning how to act or do certain things. Like when I brought my guitar to my sister's house to babysit my two-year-old niece, and she tried mimicking what I was doing to try to play it. Gatcha Gatcha December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 That's pretty interesting, I agree with LukeDude759 though. Maybe she's trying to get your attention or is just being playful.
Quilten December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 Same as the other two said, she seems to just be learning how to function and operate well based off of your actions. I know that mirroring is purposefully used by some to help visualization among other things, so I wouldn't say that I would discourage it at all. waffles December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 I'd suggest something different as an explanation, actually. If your tulpa is not very well-developed then they may not be able to instigate their own actions very well. Instead they might take input from you as stimulus, in this case your action, and then feed it back to you, in this case by copying it. Over time the effect grows stronger because you've seen it before and expect it to happen again. I guess pre-positioning your tulpa in a position like your own makes it easier for them to copy your movements, too, or just feeds the expectation. Well, regardless of whether or not that's the case it's pretty normal. It'll go away eventually if not sooner, assuming you want it to.
The-Syreth-Clan December 6, 2013 Author December 6, 2013 I see, makes sense to me. Thanks guys, I think I'd be a big pile of worrying without your help. :)
