so, a few nights ago, i was laying down and tulpa forcing before i slept, as i always do, and i attempted to feel my tulpa's presence, only to find that i could feel a presence on either side of me. two presences, to be more specific for the profoundly dim witted.

these two presences took on two different appearances, both being ones that i had seen my Tulpa take beforehand.

i had initially brushed off the previous change of appearance as irrelevant, as it's not all to uncommon for a Tulpa to alter it's form, but now i am beginning to think that they were two beings long before i recognized it.

but still, i am worried that if i identify them as as two beings when there is only one, then i am likely to create another Tulpa anyway.

is there any way to determine if these are in fact two separate beings?

he/they are/is my first tulpa, so i have no idea what to expect.

any help would be appreciated.

O.k., there's a lot of information here I don't know: like how long you've been forcing, what planning and visualization went into each form, stuff like that. So, I'll answer what I do know and see if that helps.

I have two primary forms (that are pretty much the same except in species and clothes).

And at times I am in two places at once (actually that's always true when I'm imposed - I'm both at the location and still in the Memory House [wonderland], much like when you look at a hologram it seems close but is far away when you try to touch).

So I can say, yes it is possible that both are your tulpa.

Yes, keep forcing your tulpa and look for consistencies over time. If the form stabilizes on one [over time] it is likely just one tulpa. (P.s.: I'm assuming you can't just ask.)

Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.

Sounds like two tulpae are forming, but the way it's worded makes it seem like your at the point where you can control whether or not you get two tuppers.

[align=center]Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting.

I have been forcing for about a two or three months now, and I am able to have basic conversations, though, sometimes it's pretty hard to understand them. I feel a dull throb in my brain when he(or possibly they) talk, so I have come to associate that feeling with my tulpa's trying to communicate even if I can't her them clearly. I can also feel pressure when they touch me, and occasionally get weird out of the blue bursts of scent (not sure if that's my tulpa, but you never know). I also have a tendency to see people or shapes out of the corner of my eye, that upon further inspection, aren't there.

I didn't want to restrict my tulpa, or repress on if it started to form, so I tried treating them like two separate beings. their voices became more coherent.

They also seem to have very distinct personalities, but that could just be me trying to subconsciously differentiate between them.

I'm sorry I was so vague.

There are only as many tulpas in your head as you allow there to be. It's important to remember that you are deciding what you are going to perceive. Your tulpa was not in your head before you created him. Likewise, there are not any other tulpas inside of your head unless you decided there will be or are convinced that there is.

The human mind is a complex and weird system and you're doing something that it's not refined at doing. Expect strange stuff to happen and don't let yourself get convinced that every weird feeling means something important.
