JamesNintendoNerd February 18, 2014 February 18, 2014 For months, now I have been imposing Lyra. I'm apparently not getting any results. Any good Imposition tricks that are decently easy to do? Also, I can't do things related to Iphones because I don't have one. I tried posting this on Tulpa Reddit, only getting removed in a snap. Then I realized it's only for trying to make Tulpas as famous as Mcdonald's by making memes and throwing it around the world from news to even fucking billboards and those who actually have one.
Gryphon Flight February 18, 2014 February 18, 2014 Hmm, I've heard that flash imposition works pretty well, I'm quite sure there's a thread lying around here somewhere which explains it. It's supposedly a good way to start beginners in imposition off. I'd like for you to know, though you've probably heard this several times, that imposition is the arguably the longest and slowest process in the tulpaforcing journey, and that you should just keep working through the boring work and lack of results, no matter how frustrated it may get you, as we all must go through it. You get out of it what you put in to it ;)

That's how my brain works.

That's how my brain works. IPhones, now, I don't recall it having a relation to IPhones. To give a brief summary of what I recall, it is when a host sits comfortably and begins to feel the presence of their Tulpa behind them, knowing their position and every little detail, truly believing they are there, then, they quickly turn around to see to where they were imagining the Tulpa, and are able, for a split second, to see their Tulpa. Maybe it wasn't called Flash Imposition, but I do recall reading up on this. Art isn't necessary for imposition, and if you can visualize her in your mind with ease, I should assume that you have a very good understanding of her appearance without the need for art.

Minty green mare with big yellow eyes, and a fluffy tail with a lyre cutie mark. Totally. I'll try out this presence method. Also, the Iphone thing. I would have to look up a vector of her, look at it and do the method instead of paper.
Linkzelda February 19, 2014 February 19, 2014 Eva: TL;DR at the bottom Asking for an easy imposition technique is asking for an easy way to go about hallucinating to reach the end result of being able to see an illusory form of your tulpa in your perception of reality. Asking for an easy imposition technique is basically asking how one can augment their cognition rapidly without expecting some mental drawbacks in even conceptualizing reality. Asking for an easy imposition technique is absolving all efforts to use the rudiments behind mind’s eye visualization, and incorporating those visual competencies towards your perception of reality. If you want an easy way to hallucinate, then I suggest that you just persevere until you get good at it. Some people have to constantly use suggestive commands, pre-existing knowledge with symbolism, applying them interchangeably, and just militantly hammering themselves to the point where they make a breakthrough. I understand iPhones might seem something people typically do, but it’s understandable why the post was removed on Reddit. Maybe they presumed you were talking about mind’s eye visualization, and was confusing it with imposition, as in the actual sensory imposition to see an illusory manifestation of your tulpa. People that state that they’ve been imposing their tulpa, but haven’t had any results are deemed as contradicting themselves (you can't deem to be doing the end result when you haven't even made significant breakthroughs into it). All I can really tell you is these things take time, and like others have mentioned, it’s probably one of those aspects of forcing where you have to be enduring. Whether it’s surprising one’s host with the sound of their (tulpa's) breath, or even going beyond mind’s voice to say a few words to them, it’s more pragmatic to get used to seeing this for the long term. If anything, the struggle people have with imposition (visual, auditory, or whatever sensory application) is finding a routine and sticking to it. It can get long, tedious, and wanting to find other techniques, but for Link here, to even get a few seconds of a hallucination to see an illusory form of me, it took hours upon hours with mind’s eye visualization to sustain something like that (it's pretty easy now, but there's always room for improvement). Everyone’s different, but nearly every thread we’ve seen in the past about something like this seem to be interested in finding a method that’s compatible with their mode of cognition. But seeing how people make their own techniques based on their dispositions of what’s pragmatic for them, and apparently made the breakthroughs with them may not apply to everyone else (i.e. those who many have linear thinking, and require to see the logical side before diving into the subjective and symbolic side of the process). That’s what happens when there’s limited resources on what those methods do to the brain to make the breakthroughs. You're basically going by good faith from anecdotes, and making theoretical deductions on what may be pragmatic for you. The level of difficulty is honestly subjective, so it's kind of hard to give objective assurance (for now) to you unfortunately due to inadequate evidence of what the mind would be doing when you're applying a certain technique. TL;DR: Imposition proficiency doesn’t drop down like an atom bomb, and even if it were possible, it would probably be a very hectic cognitive activity where perseverance is essential to reduce the chances of giving up. Trust me, you would be glad to see your mind making progressive improvements with something like this rather sporadic bursts that may end up in plateau effects that may wear one’s patience thin. Maybe it’s best to develop competencies with mind’s eye visualization, and even mind’s voice so that you can have some experiential learning in hearing something from your tulpa from what may be viewed as hallucinatory effects (or whatever people want to use) to reach the end result. Find a routine, or a few routines, have in the back of your mind that you should expect things to go about gradually so there wouldn't be something that may affect in a negative way of your functionality and ability to conceptualize reality at the same time. You can always go to the IRC, or even ask why certain applications of symbolism, or other methodologies can lead to the end result you want. Providing general questions without going into detail of how you usually think makes things harder for us to provide practical suggestions rather than false hopes. The-Syreth-Clan February 19, 2014 February 19, 2014 (edited) Quote Any good Imposition tricks that are decently easy to do? I usually look at my 3D model of Martina, take a good look at her and try to copy-paste the pose I gave her in the program somewhere in real life. But since you have to work with vectors, you'd need a bunch of vectors of her from all sides (Pictures of Flash dolls should most likely do... I guess) Anyway, whatever you try it won't come in a day, even if it's super effective. Edited May 10, 2022 by Mel Syreth Typo and un-memeing.
