I am reading Allanna a book and want to read it In my wonderland but I can't exactly close my eyes and read. How should I do it? Narration - basically i just talk I don't imagine her even though I use her name, is this bad am I doing it wrong? And me reading to her is this going to help at all? Thanks ~ Firedusk
Kiahdaj March 9, 2014 March 9, 2014 Open-eye visualization is a thing. People often visualize what they are reading anyway, so in lieu of visualizing the setting in the book, you could try to visualize yourself in your wonderland, while reading the book. The idea is to direct your words to them. This does not require visualizing them, and yet it requires more than simply saying their name. You must speak to them with the intent that your words will reach them; focus on them as you speak. I'm not sure if reading a book to your tulpa would necessarily help it any more than talking to it regularly would (though perhaps it could), but it's certainly no worse, unless you find yourself unable to concentrate on your tulpa while you're reading, which many do. Remember not to get too lost in the book--remember who you're reading it to. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
