Raxter April 19, 2014 April 19, 2014 I learned that for every piece of advice given to you on here, there is almost always another piece of advice that tells you exactly the opposite. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed soon. A guide being accepted should be heavily peer reviewed and critiqued to ensure that people researching this site aren't being pulled in two directions. It's okay to have simple conviction about things as long as you're open to new ideas and evidence. Examples of topics that need more definitive stances: Is hour counting helpful or harmful? Is assuming sentience from the start helpful or harmful? Is developing a wonderland worth the time? Too many guides say too many different things on these. I'll forgo citing specific passages (to keep this post relatively short) but I can read Guide A that tells me a wonderland is ultimately something that's not needed while Guide B tells me it's almost an absolute necessity for a developing tulpa. Both of these guides have been accepted so someone had to read this and say "Okay, this is approved for people learning about tulpas and creating them." If the people moderating this information are working on this on their own part-time that's fine but that doesn't mean the quality of the information should suffer because of it. I'd rather have 2 guides on here that will steer someone down a relatively "safe" path for developing a tulpa instead of 23 guides that all say different things. It's just not consistent. Give me someone who's able to piece together evidence into some semblance of a theory that says something is helpful or harmful. Give people yes / no answers and then explain why [you think] this is so that the user can make up their own minds based upon the information provided. It's really the only way to make decisions about this and it's not being addressed, or it turns into a slug fest of name-calling shit-posting while the actual substance of the argument is tossed into the bin. The most terrifying thing about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent. In the vast darkness we must supply our own light.
Azure_Flame April 19, 2014 April 19, 2014 What I've learned from joining this site... -The only filter a tulpa has is through you during proxying. -Tulpas are in most ways human. Other than that... Tulpas. Name: Moondust Personality: Quiet, kind, and loving Name: Feather Personality: Respectful, Pleasant, Honorable, Shy Name: Xeoburn Personality: Sarcastic and rude, but still friendly
