Guest applesauce99 July 11, 2012 July 11, 2012 I couldn't find this anywhere on the forums. Can extreme anger, sadness, happiness, or any other emotion both positive or negative effect a tulpa if you tulpaforce in that state of mind? If so, what could happen to you and the tulpa?
Lula July 11, 2012 July 11, 2012 I was told when stressed, sad, or suffering from a negative emotion or physical state, that one should not tulpaforce, as those emotions will adversely affect the environment (your mind) in which the tulpa is developing. Causing possible negative affects for your tulpa e.g., feeling depressed while forcing = depressed tulpa ~Remember the dead, but fight for the living. ~La rage du peuple ~Ice cream is a feeling Tulpae: Name: Frostia Form: Light and dark blue pony, white hair, styled in MLP:FiM fashion
Guest July 11, 2012 July 11, 2012 Lula: On the other hand, this can backfire in the sense that many tuppers have arised from traumas. Take Duke as an example.
Lula July 11, 2012 July 11, 2012 But who wants a tulpa to be born out of grief from a traumatic event? Every time you see your tulpa would you not be reminded of the harsh times in your life? ~Remember the dead, but fight for the living. ~La rage du peuple ~Ice cream is a feeling Tulpae: Name: Frostia Form: Light and dark blue pony, white hair, styled in MLP:FiM fashion
FigN01 July 11, 2012 July 11, 2012 I've had some bad intrusive thoughts from forcing while stressed. As far as my experience goes, tulpas thrive on your emotional state, and positive feelings are beneficial... negative ones not so much. Being stressed especially makes you less clear-minded, but a tulpa might be able to relieve some of your negative feelings too.
Slushie July 11, 2012 July 11, 2012 Well Duke's tulpa helped him deal with his PTSD. Seems like he gets along with his tulpa well enough. Astral project on my face, brother!
Guest July 12, 2012 July 12, 2012 It might result in some tulpae gaining sentience faster, but the same is true when using positive emotions. Why would you want to expose your tulpa to anything like that... Who knows what it would do to their personality? Not all "purely accidental" tulpae born out of such emotions are nice.
