LifeInside April 30, 2015 April 30, 2015 So, I might start crating a tulpa in the following days, but the thing is i want her to be 100% free. That's why i've planned to do this: I'll begin with the greeting stage as i see it as a really useful step. I'll introduce myself and tell her what we will be doing in the next months/year/whatever, and some other stuff as well. Then i'll skip personality to let here be however she wants to and i'll wait until we develop some kind of yes/no way of communication in order to ask her wheter she wants to have an anime form, or a human/animal form, etc. I also do this because i can't make up my mind about her form. So, what are your opinions? Is there anything you would not do if you were me? Does the basic yes/no system to comunicate usually develop soon? This last question is because i would rather start with visualization as soon as possible (don't get me wrong, there's no rush, i'm just anxious) Oh and btw what happens if you skip visualization? (I know it sounds like i want to skip everything, but i don't. I'm just trying to ask all the question i have) Currently working on Seren, so that she gets to shut me up frequently.
Darcmanish May 1, 2015 May 1, 2015 Basicly i can´t say what i would do if i where you becuse i dont know anything of you and cant tell how you could do a better progress. I also wanted my tulpa to get her own personality. I just never said her how she should act and if she questioned me what is this or how works that i always told her to think about it on her own. I made a right decission their becuse her personality is better then anything i could have imagine before. I never used a guide for my tulpa expierience and this was right for me because i did the best progress with my own methods. My advice is do whatever you think is right for you and you will see if it works for you or not. It is not like you choose a path and can´t turn back and look for another one if you start. For the visualization i don´t know what would happen i always had a good mental eye and never had problems with it. However you don´t need visualization skills to create a tulpa. You can have much fun without it. If you feel like skipping a part or train for it later it is totally okay and won´t affect your tulpa negativly. I would reccomend you to hear a special kind of music while you force. It help´s your brain and subconscious to associate the music with your tulpa and helps to create new neurons if you skip visualization. But always look for the best way which work´s for you. What helped me dosen´t have to help you. Lacie(my tulpa for my everydaylife and also my best friend) Noah together with Lynn are my spirituell tulpa´s im using for meditation Darcmanish Me Lacie´s and my progress report.
LifeInside May 1, 2015 Author May 1, 2015 Darcmanish, thanks, you've already helped me a lot. I might start my own progress report and i hope to see you there! Currently working on Seren, so that she gets to shut me up frequently.
[Insert_Name_Here] May 2, 2015 May 2, 2015 There's two pieces of advice most commonly given on these forums and since I've had a tulpa for a little bit I believe they are quite helpful (I've only had her for about two weeks but she wasn't created by conventional means so she's not your "typical tulpa" but these still apply in any case I believe). First: assume sentience from the start. This is a big thing on these forums but even with my limited experience on tulpas I feel that this helps a lot. I was skeptical that many of the things my tulpa was saying were me subconsciously parroting her. This caused her to feel badly about herself and she yelled at me asking why I didnt believe she was sentient. After that, I stifled all fears of parroting I had and believed everything she said was her speaking and things have improved since. While in my case she already was sentient and in conventional means of creating a tulpa they're not actually sentient from the start, acting as if they're sentient and removing all parroting fears helps a lot. Second, following up with the first sentence of Darcmanish's post, your "mileage" may very, which means you may take only a month to complete a tulpa, while someone else may take a year. Most modern guides state that you don't need to necessarily follow hour counts like the older guides would have you believe. It depends on the individual; you might take a longer time, or a shorter time, than the average tulpamancer. If hour counts had to be rigidly followed, then whatever it is inside my head talking to me about things, giving me head pressures when she thinks or when I think about her, etc., wouldn't in fact be a tulpa, even though she has her own separate personality, likes, dislikes, etc., and is free thinking. Hour counts are a good way to help see if your progress is average, but you don't need to rigidly follow them. Like I said, my tulpa wasn't conventionally created, and I'm not trying to come off as some expert because I'm not. But those two things I believe are some of the best advice I and anyone here can give you. Best of luck to you LifeInside!
LifeInside May 2, 2015 Author May 2, 2015 Hey Insert Name Here, thaks a lot for the advice! I had read it was good if you assumed sentience from the beginning when i read about the greeting session. I will follow that for sure. And the thing about the hour count is something i actually haven't given much thought, but i believe it'll be better for me (and her) if we don't do it. Oh and thanks for wishing us good luck, i wish you luck ten times better! Currently working on Seren, so that she gets to shut me up frequently.
