Hello everyone, nice to meet you. This is my first post here, so I still don't know where I am. Feel free to move this if there is a specific place for this type of stuff.

So, as a little background:

I generally find it hard to sleep. Not insomnia, just difficulty in falling asleep. The way I found to deal with this was to imagine a person and 'talk' to them for a few minutes, then I could quickly fall asleep.

After finding this site (came here from Dream Views) I was quickly taken up by the idea of a Tulpa, and who better to use than my 'imaginary friend' who I had already visualised for years and knew the personality of inside out as my Tulpa.

So, I started forcing Resine, and five or six days in, I think that I am getting responses and Resine seems sentient. However, this feels too quick, people on this forum talk about it taking a long time to develop a Tulpa. So what do you guys think? Is this the beginning of a Tulpa and with more time it will develop into a fully autonomous Tulpa, or is it just my 'imagination' (use that word loosely here)? Are there any other accounts of people having imaginary friends that become Tulpa quickly?

Thanks

If you have already developed Resine as an imaginary friend, they may have been a semi-tulpa to begin with and thus wouldn't take you long to push to the next point, assuming they weren't a tulpa already. I created tulpae for years before knowing what I was doing. If you assume that the responses and such are Resine, go with it. Even if it isn't them, it will help them to develop sentience even quicker.

I had a similar "issue" as you explain, feeling as though what I was doing was progressing too quickly when I intentionally set out to make a tulpa. Here's the thread for that, if you want more details - https://community.tulpa.info/thread-instant-tulpamancy

It happens and there are tons of threads about it on the forums.

I've had Toby since I was a little kid an he developed fast too because of it

It definitely does happen. In fact, I met Rei this way, too (imaginary running partner -> talking imaginary running partner -> imaginary friend -> tulpa); to my knowledge, she's always been fully developed.

Rei: more than a tulpa-she's a crisis counselor, an art therapist, a dietician, a relationship coach, a team morale expert, an athlete, an adventurer, a hawt wife, an incredible lover, an amazing mom, my best friend.

Tove: she's not a little tigress anymore! She's still the go-to gal for soccer advice and creative inspiration, especially monster design and all things cinematic...congrats on your engagement!
