Gimir49 June 28, 2015 June 28, 2015 Hello everyone. I have been having some issues lately you could say that are kind of hard to resolve on ones own so I thought a tulpa might be able to help me fix myself. So I have been wondering whether anyone here has some experience with stuff like this. First off, depression. Did anyone attempt to cure it using a tulpa's help? If yes, did you succeed? And how exactly did it work? Next, do you think it would be possibly using a tulpa's help to, how could I say, "seal off" thoughts and feelings about a specific event or a thing or a person or anything like that? Relating somewhat to the previous question, what about OCD for instance? Did someone here solve their problems thanks to a tulpa's help? Basically what I would like to know is mainly those things but you can also say if, and how, did your tulpa help you solve specific psychological problems. Any help or wisdom will be helpful. And I apologize if by some chance this topic shouldn't have been posted here.
Guest Anonymous June 28, 2015 June 28, 2015 Tons of people fought depression by themselves with the help of their relatives, friends, etc. I wouldn't say a tulpa is really apt to solve those issues. They shoudn't be made for that purpose, but to answer your question, yep, they can help with depression. Not cure. Depression's only cure comes from your part. Nothing is magical and tulpas can't really seal off depression, they can help you out with that since they completely understand you, but that's that. Think of it as a really close friend helping you out. At this point it just sounds more like a servitor than a tulpa if you want to 'seal off' memories. As once said, tulpas CAN do that but shouldn't be made only for that purpose. That's a servitor then. And you need to realize how much of a big deal this is and how important it is to take those things seriously. A tulpa isn't something you can just dismiss or send in its corner, it's a big commitment. I've seen tulpas help with their host's depression and all, but do take notice of the help. Not an actual cure, but a better way to cope with things. Naah man. It's good, this is the section for questions after all. Yeah, my tulpa helped me out with my self-esteem issues, with my suicidal thoughts, my depression too (that's still present, she helped with it, didn't solve it), just by being there.
Luminesce June 28, 2015 June 28, 2015 Can confirm, Reisen did wonders to help me out of depression by showing me unconditional love and being a role model to strive towards. Yet that didn't "cure" my depression, and to this day years later I still have motivation issues. You really do have to work through it on your own, but friends and family can help inspire you to do so. Assuming they're not an option, a tulpa can help. But obviously they aren't a "depression-curer", they're a lifelong companion, so make sure you're ready for that. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
sushi June 28, 2015 June 28, 2015 As others have said, absolutely, a tulpa can do these things. But the tulpa will have to be well developed to be any more help than a good friend. So unless you want a good friend, you'll probably be waiting a while before you get any results. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
