It's no secret the forum isn't nearly as active as it used to be, aside from this thread. There are a ton of tulpamancy Discord servers, though. I wonder how many past members just migrated there.

Those who do don't have much to share anymore I feel, so what ends up happening is that they leave the community and "live life normally", unless they have a reason to be in the forum in the first place.

I see that's interesting, and ooh that would be cool to be able to reach out to them and see. It kinda also reminds me of how when I read PRs a lot of people start and just leave. Like, I read so many RPs it makes me wish most of the people stayed because a lot of those people seemed interesting, it also makes wonder if they even still practice tulpamancy.

From our point of view, you either stick around forever or you find some way to "excuse yourself" out of tulpamancy in some shape or form. Most of the really old timers aren't lurking the forum anymore but are still reachable privately - it would be interesting to do a sort of census and go reach out to those 40-50 "known nicknames" and see if they are still into tulpamancy or not - I reckon most of them aren't anymore.

That's honestly pretty impressive, I hope to be around for that long too. It's pretty inspiring to see people here for such a long time tbh Relatable, that's good I'm glad you're doing good
