  1. Past hour
  2. By "throw rocks at the dam" I specifically meant telling us we shouldn't worry about being perfect, to be clear - don't throw metaphorical rocks at us :P
  3. Black Coffee β˜•
  4. Oh! I did see that! 😊 I had just forgotten. Sorry to bring that back to your mind though. I'm glad you're still trying to be productive. Nightfall: do note that Shaula will take this to heart.
  5. You are free to throw rocks at the dam as long as you want to, it probably won't do anything, but it's not impossible, and is good intent. This would be a painful thing to acknowledge and respond to if a family friend hadn't literally died and caused us to make a tribute to them a few months ago: LOTPW post #182,695 (LOTPW posts are linking ahead a page of where they should for us right now, so, find #182,695) But yeah, that extreme circumstance aside, we really haven't worked on and completed anything in a very long time. To be fair the last year we've done about a hundred C++ lessons which is where any real times we felt up to being productive went, but to be clear, if we were working on them a little every day that much progress should've taken 3 months at most. So it's not like we couldn't easily have been working on Blender too (or at least going way, way faster through said C++ course) But yeah, productivity stuff is stalled now as we don't believe we can make real progress on our own anymore and are very slowly getting to the last ~medical things we can find to try, so the glacial pace has turned into absolute zero. Which isn't really all that different from glacial pace, since if (for miraculous example) we found out we have severe sleep apnea and getting a CPAP suddenly totally fixed us, we could make a year's worth of progress by simply working for a few hours consistently every day for a month. Hence our not being motivated to keep trying to scrape by the tiny bit we can do right now.
  6. It really sucks when your own brain works against you. I just hope you can find something to help, Tewi. Yeah, I actually haven't seen anything you have made before.
  7. Today
  8. yeah. easier said than done but i don't think anyone cares if it is perfect or not it's always really cool to see any of you make something and we haven't in a long time. not sure shaula ever has you see how sloppy my contribution was but it still touched people it seems though i know it isn't so simple to just turn that off but maybe hearing it helps a little idk. for future reference
  9. I only have one nitpick with this and that's the word usage of sentience. You should be going for sapience instead which is the full cognitive ability. Insects are sentient, humans are sapient. (Hence why we're named homo sapiens) So unless you want to create something with the mental awareness of a butterfly, you probably should clarify that.
  10. Yeah, I know. To us, perfectionism is an OCD-like trait, that means during creative activities we can't stand moving on until the current aspect we're on has been done the very best we ""reasonably"" can, which means - while we do always appreciate final results - that things take us an unreasonable amount of time and effort, and of course with our motivation/effort issues, that means we eventually end up avoiding doing anything at all. In general terms, anyway.
  11. Awww, that really sucks. I know it probably won't help but I think we all would be happy if your thing isn't perfect, or even remotely close. βŠ‚β (ο½₯ωο½₯*β βŠ‚β )
  12. North is a good choice, lots to see up there. ☺️ Don't worry about it Tewi ☺️ (We may extent the deadline past TAD, maybe, but I still want to make my contribution tonight)
  13. Did we overestimate the number of artists? Someone should remind Ring if he wanted to add something https://community.tulpa.info/topic/25712-tad-art-collage-thingie/?do=findComment&comment=480990 I don't think we'll be able to add something. The idea of engaging with an event and creating some kind of presentable art is too much for us at the moment (and most moments) Really doesn't help that texturing (which we've not learned at all yet) is required to make art even vaguely presentable, so modeling alone isn't enough. Not that we don't have ridiculous art block for modeling as well (stemming from perfectionism -> expected effort to achieve it, for us, meaning we can hardly ever choose to ""just make something"")
  14. I say flip a coin and go with that. (Or change it if find out you actually want to do the other.)
