Megm114 March 11, 2015 March 11, 2015 My Tulpa has made it clear they would like me to choose their name. I see people on these forums with amazingly original, unique tulpae names and im wondering if I could have some tips on naming my Tulpa ? I like 'mimi' but they want it to begin with a T. How did you come us with your names, and what languages are they ?
kovyxen March 11, 2015 March 11, 2015 I found my tulpa's name by looking through names on gravestones. ^^ Though I could provide some names for you if you'd like. Could be just gibberish mashing things together until they sound cool, or you could give a description of your tulpa's personality and I could give you something with a Japanese or Latin root. :3 "The number of minds in the universe is one." - Erwin Schrodinger Kovie, they or she. 7yo, mentally 19. active. Vyx, they or he. 7yo, mentally 17. active. Axen, they or he. age unknown, mentally 26. occasionally active. Sanu, any pronouns. 5yo, mentally ageless. mostly inactive. Leo, he/him. 6yo, mentally 21. inactive.
Missy March 12, 2015 March 12, 2015 I came up with Melody's name when I was quite young, so I don't think I recall my reasoning. In all likelihood the reasoning was probably something simple, such as that it was pretty or that I liked the sound of it. Caramel's was a bit different. Since I'm Melissa and Melody is... well, Melody, we picked Caramel's name based on the fact that it has a 'Mel' in it. ...This isn't for the sake of puns, or theme-naming, but rather for inclusion. This way, if one of them is fronting, or co-fronting with me and someone addresses them as Mel, it'll be technically correct. The whole thing was Melody's idea. -Missy It's not quite the same as being addressed by my own name, sure, but it's a bit nicer to hear people call me 'Mel' when they're talking to me, even if I know that they mean 'Melissa'. I know it wouldn't be a good idea to tell most random people about myself, so it's just a small victory to trick them into being sorta-right about my name without making Missy look odd. I figured the same setup would probably provide similar benefit to Caramel, which is why I suggested it. -Melody
NekoiNemo March 12, 2015 March 12, 2015 It may be a good idea to give them name that associates with something you really like. Obviously, it's mostly only applicable if you're going for not "normal" human names. Like i gave Yami her name because it means "darkness" in japanese and, well, darkness is something i really really love. 現実に抗え!

arcanemagic March 12, 2015 March 12, 2015 I had always wanted to have the name Lucas but that's not my actual name so when it came to naming I thought about naming him Lucas. I changed my mind after the idea hit me that if I did that it might change my intentions from creating a tulpa to creating a perfect version of myself. I didn't particularly want to do that and that's when the name Markus hit me :p kinda similar, but not too close :p Markus is the tulpa, and I don't really have anything else to say. Markus speaks in Blue!
omegaAnubis March 12, 2015 March 12, 2015 i created Aura back when i was in the pony fandom. he was actually based on my OC for the show "Shining Aura" and thus was his name. eventually though he deviated into the Shiny Umbreon form he has always stuck with. He picked the form because Umbreon is his favorite Pokemon and the "Shiny" part represented his first name. When he changed forms though he decided to drop his first name so he would just be simply Aura. Nova's name comes from the fact that her color scheme is primarily sunflower yellow, Nova being derived from "Supernova", referring to a brilliant and radiant explosion of a star at the end of its life cycle. i dunno, i just thought the name fit the aesthetic and her personality. i am forever banned from drinking orange juice because my tulpa hates it with a burning passion
