Guest Anonymous October 15, 2015 October 15, 2015 Do you think the stuff you narrate to your tulpa effects its personality? Does your tulpa remember being narrated to? If you did nothing but narrate Mein Kampf, would it have an effect?
Guest Anonymous October 15, 2015 October 15, 2015 Holy crap you are worse than me with the pondering questions! LOL What if you know two languages, but only narrate to your tulpa in one of them? What if you started each narration by addressing the tulpa as "Hail Oh Glorious Overlord of Power!" ? In my case, I spent way too much time praising Melian over and over and telling her she is so incredibly adorable and amazing and that I love her. What did I end up with? A thoughtform who is a narcissist who will frequently tell you she is adorable and amazing and that she loves herself.
Luminesce October 15, 2015 October 15, 2015 Only as much as it makes you think of them in relation to it. Normally a tulpa could say, wow, this guy's wack, what's wrong with Jews? But if the whole time you're focusing on how bad of a person he is and, more importantly, the intent and effect reading it may have on your tulpa, the more it may do so. Depends on how susceptible your thoughts are to stray input. Though it may change whether your tulpa has fond memories of the time around their creation. The more strict/boring people probably didn't make as many fun memories as those who treated their tulpas like they were there, doing things together. Unless you have a Hitler tulpa, I don't recommend Mein Kampf as forcing material. We should have some sort of rule against Hitler tulpas. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Guest Anonymous October 15, 2015 October 15, 2015 As someone who narrated a lot, and still narrates to his tulpa when there is a certain need (as narration does a lot, we regard it as lectures more than anything to be quite honest), the content proved to be of very little significance outside of the first developmental stages of a tulpa's life. For instance, I would talk to her about my shitty day, about how much I hated the stuff that was going around me, I'd make comments on certain persons, certain animals, objects... and my tulpa's ideals came in COMPLETELY different from what I told her. An example was me narrating 'how much I (fucking) hate kids, they're such brats, they do nothing but whine and are just dead weight until further growth', but she completely disagrees with me on that. I think that people make the mistake that a tulpamancer is supposedly making a person. This is wrong, in my definitions. My model of tulpamancy revolves around building capacities to think, rationalize, and leave the rest to experiences. Of course, other notions of reality, emotions, feelings and whatnot are also to be implemented (I have a list of 50 unique traits that compose my tulpa, those traits are traits she formed with time by herself without me intervening or writing down a list as the community of /x/ was against that in the days of old). Overall, my narrating has merely let know my tulpa of how I thought, how I rationalize and my own views over life. Such views do not define her reality. I don't think that a tulpamancer is making a being by taking values--->perception--->tulpa's perception via active/passive forcing, but that the tulpa is forming their own values and concepts of reality. Narrating has taught my tulpa how to answer adequately, and by this I mean her vocabulary (that tends to be complex at times due to her wanting to come off as likeable as possible to me), other than that, it was just the capacity to think. If I read her Mein Kampf "I'd just laugh because it would be ridiculous of him to read me that book in specific." My tulpa remembers my hour-long lectures, quite accurately. She sometimes reminds me of stuff I said and does very sweet things in regards to that. That's that.

Pioneer11 October 15, 2015 October 15, 2015 We should have some sort of rule against Hitler tulpas. Well. My Tulpa could be considered “malevolent”. He’s based on studies on psychopathy, nihilistic and cynic philosophy, and a variety of characters that could be described as villainous. If he were a real person he would be diagnosed as a sociopath. I created him from the “dark side” of my mind many years ago without having a proper idea of what I was doing, but then I evolved him to have a better understanding the notion of Evil. He’s not my enemy though. That’s the thing that surprise me the most about it. “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” [progress report]

Surely the most evil people are capable of convincing you that they have good intentions while secretly twisting you to do their bidding?

Indeed, that’s why I’ve been distrustful of him for years. We have the most interesting mind games though. “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” [progress report]
