AnonymousTheCurious October 22, 2015 October 22, 2015 So something recently came up during my constant daydreaming about life after having a completed tulpa. (My tulpa is currently being visualized, I finished personality around a week ago) If you want your tulpa to be able to perform some sort of 'trick,' (ex. like a parrot speaking language or a person being able to handstand for a solid 10 minutes) would that require extra visualization? What I'm envisioning is for example a dragon tulpa being able to breath (non-environment affecting) fire, or a fairy tulpa being able to show-off by doing (again, non-environment affecting) magic? This includes after they are imposed. I suck at explaining things, so if you have to ask clarifying questions go ahead. Another quick question, is the plural of tulpa: tulpas or tulpae? I've heard it both ways. I have migrated accounts because I started using a new username for tulpa-related stuff. New Account: NateAndTheTulpaTrio

Chupi October 22, 2015 October 22, 2015 PLEASE do not post arguments one way or another on tulpas vs tulpae vs tulpi vs tulparnans vs tulpalamaramadingdongs in this thread. We've already had that holy war enough times. "Tulpas" is pretty much standard these days. If your tulpa desires to do a trick like that once imposed, they will. You can encourage them the same ways you'd encourage a friend to do something. It might make it a bit easier for them if you visualize it some, but not doing so won't stop them from doing it. You can also try assuming it onto them as sort of a habit, just something their form does; depending on form, you might even do so subconsciously. For instance, if I were to make a dragon, I'd probably just automatically assume it might breathe fire when enraged unless it's some special kind of dragon that wouldn't. I'll definitely keep your response in mind. I'm sorry for bringing up the 'plural' question, I wasn't aware of its controversy. Dav_Edward October 22, 2015 October 22, 2015 Although you can puppet them to do tricks, it's much more rewarding when a tulpa does something on its own that you don't expect. Teach your tulpa the concept of performance and tricks, maybe teach it a few simple ones, but encouraging a tulpa to think for itself is generally better for its development. Just remember they aren't your toy. Once independent enough it will, (if it doesn't already) have emotions and feel things like pride and wouldn't like being told what to do all the time. Though usually tuplae love to show off what they can do. Again, I'm unexperianced in forcing as my tulpa occured naturally. But Solaria is capable of very advanced visual images, music, patterns, and effects. More so if I'm playing music she likes. This will definitely require more visualization, but that will happen naturally. Brain function works like muscles. The more you use it, the more efficient and stong it can get.
