Thoughts about seemingly quick tulpa creation, looking for feedback

Recommended Posts

I spent a lot of time going back and forth on where to post this, even as another part of me wondered if I should post it at all. If it's in the wrong place, I'm sorry, it can be moved or, I guess, deleted if the mods deem it as such but... I did want to at least get this out into a form that someone might see it and give me their input.

I've been familiar with the concept of thoughtforms and sentient creatures of energy of various forms for quite some time now, and I've long since held the belief that if enough energy and belief was thrown at an idea or concept, it would become real.. At least in some plane or mindscape or whatever you'd like to call it. So the concept of a Tulpa isn't a something that at all surprised me or caught me off guard, as I equate them similarly to the concept of a spirit guide or guardian or something along those lines. An independent(or semi-independent) sentient creature that will (hopefully) be your friend.

That being said, however.. The concept of deliberately creating such an entity is a relatively new concept to me. But I mean.. Why not?

So a few days ago I decided I'd give it a shot and try to deliberately create a Tulpa. I'm still working on getting the form, and everything, taking pieces from different guides that 'feel' right mixed with some inner beliefs that I've had for years now. One of the concepts that many of these guides had that I believe to be a good idea is treating your tulpa as sentient from the day you create it. That way things will go smoother when it does develop such.

Something I was not expecting, however, was for my Tulpa to very quickly /appear/ to have some level of sentience... I'm not sure if it's just me imagining things or wishful thinking or whatever but... He appeared to choose his own color and gender within a day or two of me starting to work on him. Even before I tried to force together a personality. The next day when I sat down to force, I talked with him, told him I wanted us to try and work on his personality to get it a bit more developed, since he didn't seem to show /much/ of one so far. While following one of the guide's instructions I found it difficult to infuse him with some personality traits, while others seemed to go pretty smoothly. When I was done and I took another look over him, he had changed his color again. Looking up the psychology of the new color on the internet, suggested that maybe he took the color from some of the personality traits I had selected for him, almost like he was acknowledging my opinions and were taking (at least some of them) to heart. Today when I went to talk to and look at him again, he was back to the color before we worked on his personalty.

While I'll freely admit I'm not the best at visualizing, I've seen him reacting to music and such and while sometimes I wonder if I'm puppeting him, other times I don't feel like I am... During one song on the car ride home tonight he did something that downright shocked me, even a little scared me, but seemed to act like it was part of his 'dancing' to the song. A little while ago I went looking for him again and asked if he was alright and I got kind of a confused feeling, like 'why are you concerned' (regarding what he did during the song) I explained that his actions made me a little nervous and scared for him (They were actions that, while seeming self destructive, didn't actually appear to hurt him... So I guess maybe he just likes a little bit of gore type stuff?) Anyways, I explained that it had me worried about him and I seemed to get the impression that he felt bad for making me worry.

No he's not been vocal yet.. well Sometimes I wonder if I'm hearing him making like little clicking sounds, but no words, I've not even gotten thought-speech or anything like that yet. But sometimes I do seem to get feelings from him.

Is it possible that I might have created an intelligent, sentient tulpa super fast? Maybe this is an adaption of a thoughtform which had been hanging around me for a while that I'm now turning into a Tulpa? I don't know... That's kinda why I hope someone here will give their input... I guess... I know it's unlikely that I've created a sentient Tulpa from scratch in like... 2-3 days... but... Maybe something that was around before I started trying to actively create one? Maybe one that was passively in the process and in a dormant state or something?

I've read that some times it happens more easily/naturally for people who have active imaginations or who do a lot of roleplaying, and I definitely do the latter. Every day in fact.

If you've read this far, thank you. I hope what I've said makes sense, I hope I posted in the right place, and I really hope that people respond.

Thank you.

This may be the reason for him to develop so fast. Authors for example tend to be really fast too when it comes to tulpa creation, some even create accidental tulpas or soulbonds (*cough* Felix *cough*). For someone who's roleplaying a lot, it might be the same! So what you're experiencing is not that uncommon.

Stop worrying so much, just accept it and be happy about it! <3

The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure, while always arriving.

Maja will either use name tags, [brackets] or this colour.

Interesting story! I think most people on the forum would respond that it is unlikely that a sentient tulpa could be created in only two days. But you are only describing a few seemingly independent, spontaneous actions. That certainly sounds encouraging. :-) If you have a very vivid imagination, this doesn't seem so surprising to me.

Every tulpa development is unique, so this is quite possible. I got pretty fast reactions from Alice aswell, showing me that she was sentient to some degree atleast, even though she wasn't vocal for long time afterwards. of course some of the weirder stuff like changing colours a lot, or gory stuff could be the result of intrusive thoughts interfering, but you shouldn't worry about that too much. That you feel reactions coming from your tulpa like "why are you concerned" is a pretty good sign, in my opinion.

People around here tend to say the following: There is no thing as accidentally parroting or puppetting, so unless you actively let your tulpa react in certain ways, there is no real reason to doubt it.

Tulpa: Alice

Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

People worry too much about whether their tulpa is sentient or not. Worry about their actual development. Authors and roleplayers are accustomed to thinking in the minds of different, artificial people, so with some parts of the actual creation process they can go much more quickly. But a tulpa isn't a novel character or roleplay persona, they're a tulpa once you've developed them to a point where they function relatively on their own without any conscious thought on your part. One of those could certainly become a tulpa, though. It's mostly about intent.

Anyway, your tulpa won't typically be going anywhere very soon, so don't worry about how fast or slow progress is. There's no point where they suddenly become sentient or finished or anything, you'll keep making progress over time. So do what you do and keep the intent for them to become autonomous and independent from you while spending time with them, and things should go well.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
