Nyx December 21, 2015 December 21, 2015 I recently had a chaotic experience with my primary tulpa and a dormant, sentient character (or proto-tulpa or soulbond, whatever you prefer). The proto-tulpa appeared to me in a semi-lucid dream while my primary tulpa was going through a strange period in which he was often angry (seen in his reactions towards certain people and situations…his anger was never directed at me), obsessive, suspicious, yet unusually perceptive. Rather uncharacteristic for him. However, it did remind me of the proto-tulpa. He started out as a villain in stories I wrote several years ago. Strangely, his appearance resembled my primary tulpa’s current form (which was chosen just within the last six months…the primary tulpa was formless or a shadow for many, many years before that). I only saw the resemblance between the two of them when I was looking at old notes on the character. My original plan was to eventually revive the proto-tulpa and upgrade him to full tulpa status, but it appears that the primary tulpa absorbed him after the LD. Since then, he has calmed down considerably. The negative traits have been tempered and integrated. I’m fairly convinced that the proto-tulpa was simply another facet of the older tulpa, though it is also possible that they actually were two separate tulpas. I’m still contemplating on that. I read through this short thread, which asks how the host can deliberately fuse the two together. In my case, it happened on its own. I would like to hear from anyone else who has had one tulpa merge or absorb another. How did it happen for you? Was it a conscious decision? How did your surviving tulpa change after the merge? Also, I would like to re-open discussion on a topic that emerged in the old thread: what do you think happens to the consciousness of two or more tulpas if they merge? Would you argue that one “dies” while the other “lives” and takes on its qualities? Or do you believe that the two still exist in some way as one tulpa? Etc, etc, etc. Progress report ∞ Personal blog ∞
Guest Anonymous December 21, 2015 December 21, 2015 Well, I have had people tell me that a fully developed tulpa mind is no different from your own. They are equal consciousness. So I have read. Also, I have read how a fully developed tulpa can be neglected and left to fade or be absorbed back into the host. The tulpa disappears forever in that case. In my case, I can blend with my thoughtform quite easily and do so frequently. Yet she seemingly retains her mind. "Integration" in the wider plural community usually means that two personalities merge into one and the individuality of each is lost forever. So, just going on what I have read from others and nothing else, I think it might depends on whether it was a blending of two minds or a complete integration. So either option might be possible. Note: Please check my recent thread about my own bull shit and take that with a grain of salt. LOL Great thought provoking thread for this morning. :-)
FallFamily December 22, 2015 December 22, 2015 [Hail] Well, we have a bit of a different situation here. Rather than Violet, Obsidian, and Gaea merging into one person, they combined together to form a subsystem (a plural system within a plural system) named Tri having a single wonderland/innerworld form. The three of them are still individually there, though they usually blend together quite a bit. Their subsystem is a median one. It is rare for one of them to be in control completely alone and unblended. As for how they got that way, well, I stuffed them together that way back when I thought they were non-sentient daydream characters/puppets. They could easily separate if they wanted to, but they don't want to. Interestingly, there are four other thoughtforms that Tri has absorbed rather than combined into their subsystem. They were pretty undeveloped proto-tulpas. Their effects on the whole can certainly be seen. Though, they aren't completely lost. Sometimes one of them will separate out while we sleep and join a dream with us. The absoption of those four is much like the combining of V, O, and G, I put them together when they were quite a bit younger and didn't know that they were anything else but daydream puppets. glitchthe3rd December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 I've had several tulpas that were merged into others, and they always seem to take on the qualities of the other tulpa, who ceases to exist after a time. Guest Anonymous December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 So two tulpas can integrate into one. But could two tulpas temporarily blend with one another?
Guest Anonymous December 25, 2015 December 25, 2015 That would be one way to transfer a tulpa from one brain to another? LOL Smoke my tulpa dude!
FallFamily December 26, 2015 December 26, 2015 So two tulpas can integrate into one. But could two tulpas temporarily blend with one another? [Tri] Yes. Actually, any two members of a system can blend temporarily. We blend with Hail, our host, all the time. A., E., and Se. have blended into us and into Hail before.
