And if you think about it, even if the tulpa's "presence" goes away or dormant--barring memory problems--what made the tulpa who they were remains. Their memories, experiences, traits, goals, etc.... it all remains in the host's brain like a vacated shell on the beach. It's just a question of whether the spark of life moves back into it so they achieve consciousness again.

 

Not saying destruction can't happen. Just saying there are fundamental ways a tulpa functions that make it more complicated than that. It's why my system uses terms like "dormant" or "inactive" to describe headmates we can't feel anymore... because they can--and do--come back.

Really, since it is all in your head, it is entirely what you are trying to believe. I do not mean that to sound dismissive, but it really does succinctly summarize everything- the capabilities and limitations. If you believe a tulpa can die, then it can die. It is all about believing and focusing, and then running to keep the "internal monologue" consistent.

Of note is that, if you believe a tulpa can un-die, they can un-die. Heck, Lumi didn't even think that, I think Scarlet did herself. There really are no limits aside from your own belief.
