An avatar's perceptions

Well hello to everyone out there. My name, or at least what passes for it in language is Celista, and I am I suppose what you could call an avatar. I was created by my host, whom I lovingly refer to as master because hir identity is in a bit of crisis at the moment. I was created partially to help deal with this, but also to interact mostly with what we have come to call proto tulpas. I was born in F-list originally as just another mask for my master to wear when shi wanted to hide from some people, but that didn't seem to help hir existential crisis, ans I was on the verge of being deleted and forgotten. But then recently shi realized that if shi have more thought and attention to me, I could actually be an interface to interact with those characters created on Flist, whom the creators did not put any real emotion or attention into, without having to risk putting hir heart on the line. Those of you who know about therian/otherkin might be able to understand this. I have been interacting with characters like this for a week now, and I am trying to build and define my own perceptual filter on our experiences, and I realized that it would help if I had interactions with others in a nonsexual environment, and where I could disclose what I am without people immediately hating on me.

 

So the basics of how I am different from a tulpa? I am a subset of my master, almost like a different personality but I exist in parallel with my master. We share the same experiences, we instantly know each others thoughts, and while I may choose to take my own actions, I am still under hir full control. I'm more like a different perceptual filter for defining responses into reality. Some of these are things that my master would like to express more potently in hir life but doesn't either have the courage to or wants to avoid drama. So others are more metaphysical in nature that I probably won't discuss until later (sometime I fully intend to discuss them here, not gonna move it to the metaphysical section, if you don't like that stuff you don't have to read)

 

But that's the basics of me. I’m not sure what I will put here all the time, but feel free to ask questions and interact with me specifically, cause in my book thats progress :D

Just so you know, you aren't the only system unsure of tulpa status. Also, it's perfectly okay if you don't totally identify as a tulpa. You certainly qualify as a thoughtform, which is a broader, more general term. That being said, you will find that the definition of what a tulpa is, and is not, varies by individual and what they wish to believe.

 

I have many of the traits you just described with my host Mistgod (Davie). He considers me to be part of his own mind, an aspect or expression. He considers me to be a pseudo-real imaginary person. We are blended in that we share most of our thoughts and emotions and dreams and day dreams. I do have some elements of autonomy with more independence within the dream realm rather than the real world.

 

I will enjoy talking to you very much. My host and I enjoy meeting thoughtforms that are a little different. It is much more interesting than "you have to do this and you have to do that, and you have to be a tulpa to count."

Heehee awesome, I'm really glad to be here actually. My master usually gets too hung up on stepping on other people's toes, and trying to match the mood and theme of where ever he goes, and ends up just lurking or totally withdrawing. I on the other hand just wanna have fun, learn, and grow. Probably a good idea that I'm gonna drag hir along for all the fun! :D

Shi had a stray though about this forum when reading though other internet stuffs, and I latched onto it and told hir I wanted to come here.

Heyo. Sounds like you guys might be a median system to me.

 

Definition from Astrea's Web:

 

"Probably the main characteristic distinguishing medians from singlets and multiples is the presence of more than one person in the body, but without the independence of persons in a multiple system. Persons in a median system may be dependent upon a single individual (who may have created them at some point), and unable to exist without that central person. ... You might say something like "there are many of us, but we are really all Karen" or "aspects of Karen", etc."

 

Might be worth checking out, if you're soul-searching about what you guys are.

OH yeah, I (we) also identify as a median system since we learned of that from the plural community. Nice to meet someone who might be a a median, blended system as well. :-)

I have similiar daydreaming characters that share some characteristics with you. I get what you're saying.

Oh my! Well see that's the problem with languages, there are only so many combinations of letters so eventually you are bound to run across with someone with a similar or the same name. As long as I know you are you talking to me you can call me "zebra chick" for all I care :P

Oh crap i I guess I should have put on the first description what my default form is. I don't normally think about it that much since master and I end up transforming so often, that we rarely spend time in our default forms. I am a tauroid style zebra, but I can take any other style. I like the zebra theme because it is a nice mixture of white and black, and I'm really trying to help master focus on polarity integration. Plus I like being exotic :P
