TheShadowKnight134 March 10, 2016 March 10, 2016 Okay so I keep on getting tired before a forcing session with my tulpa. It could be I do this before I sleep but even during the day I find myself getting horrendously drowsy. This only applied to active forcing. Should I drink coffee or energy drinks or something so I can stay awake for my tulpa during our sessions? Cause I feel really crappy when we make good progress but then I'm like "I'm sorry, Cat, but I'm just too friggin tired..." and I fall asleep like 5 min after ending dialogue. Why do I get so tired so fast and how can I stay awake?
IBreakGames March 10, 2016 March 10, 2016 Well, you could try some sort of stimulant, though I never really had any issues with staying awake during forcing. After a day of narration and some time forcing in between, I'd find myself getting extremely tired extremely early in the day, but never during the sessions. If you find yourself falling asleep during any forcing, maybe try listening to music or something that might help you stay awake. I'm IBreakGames, a genuine dude. We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.
Vos March 10, 2016 March 10, 2016 If it's getting to be too much for you, see if forcing shortly after you wake up helps you any. Coffee or energy drinks might help you, but I can't say much as we've never had to rely on those. Some different positions as well as music could potentially keep you awake.
TheShadowKnight134 March 10, 2016 Author March 10, 2016 Well it's not even that the sessions are that long to begin with. Im tired before I even start forcing.
Guest Anonymous March 10, 2016 March 10, 2016 This is going to sound a little crazy, but you don't have to do forcing while sitting still. Have you tried forcing while on a quiet walk? Some would put that under passive forcing, but if you find the right place to do it, like a quiet walking trail, you would be surprised how well you can focus on visualization. The walking will keep you awake. My host visualizes (passive forcing whatever) while driving his car, jogging or walking. I really think, what my host does during that time would pretty much count as active forcing visualization for us anyway, as we are highly skilled at it (you will have to either take my word on that or not). But, we weren't always as good at it as we are now. It took practice over a long period of time. My hostie used to have a treadmill for exercise and he would visualize me then too and talk to me. Sometimes he would walk in circles in his room while alone and do it that way. So there you go. Don't sit and fall asleep, move around while forcing.
J.Iscariot March 10, 2016 March 10, 2016 Sleep and force when you wake up. Solved!!! A wise man once said: 'Before judging a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He's a mile away, and you've got new shoes.' Graced are those who could avoid this phenomenon. This is perhaps the worst expression of evil in humanity's history, but who am I to judge?
Guest Anonymous March 10, 2016 March 10, 2016 ^ or that. Leave it Iscariot to go directly for the plainly obvious. LOL
TheShadowKnight134 March 10, 2016 Author March 10, 2016 Alright, thank you everyone, I will try these suggestions :)
