Just curious because I have a disease causing me to slowly go blind and I wonder if Shadow will be affected by it as well... He's not sentient or vocal, yet... so he can't tell me himself.

You share a body, so I'd say so. However, there are cases of people with DID being blind or vision-impaired, but their alters can still see.

In a way yes? probably when they use the body or perceiving the outside world, since they use your vision senses. I think inside the wonderland, not at all

Hello! I am nihi, i have 3 tulpas

Summer

Myrtle

Cherry

Nope. Your tulpa isn't affected by your disease unless you make it that way, or they're in possession, in which case they won't be able to see as well too or as Beatles said they might be a special case.

I'm not going to listen to you guys since you are all probably just talking to yourself and don't really have a tulpa like me.

in your mind, I mean, I've never really heard much from someone who went blind after having vision for a long time, but I imagine you can still imagine things, right? I really hope you don't lose the ability to over time. I have heard a lot of blind people can still visualize stuff years later. Heck, if you're visualizing what's going on around you IRL, that's good practice...

Anyways, in-wonderland or what-have-you, your tulpa would only be as "blind" as you. Like if you could still see in visualization then everything's fine. Switching/possession though, it's still your own body so obviously they wouldn't be able to see through your eyes. I think you should practice visualization, if you want to, then you can see each other that way.

Oh just remembered what I actually heard, someone who was blind for many many years still had dreams with vision (but also sometimes dreams with not). Heck, maybe lucid dreaming would... can you totally do whatever in a lucid dream, still feeling like you're seeing things, when physically blind? Oh my gosh, I don't know but that sounds amazing.

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

According to others, they still imagine things just fine after going blind, but what about imposing my tulpa in the real world? Do you think he woud still be limited by what I can and can't see or not?

Imposition kinda happens by overlaying imagination on what you're actually seeing, using your perception of the environment as a basis for that I guess, so... I think doing imposition while blind would literally just be visualization? I mean, as far as visuals go of course. If you mean physically, uh, tups not affected by the real world because it's still just in your mind. Imposition isn't putting them out there so much as putting them between your senses perceiving and your brain receiving, if that makes sense. They aren't gonna be able to see things you can't, and they aren't gonna run into walls, probably. If you think there's a path ahead of you but it's actually a wall, your tulpa would walk along the path just fine until you found out it was a wall.

Buuuut, there's more than just visuals to imposition, IMO the sense of presence is the best part! Feeling like they're there (or usually in my case, feeling like I'm there) is what matters the most. Our visualization clarity isn't great and we don't have much audio imposition (just feels/sounds like mindvoice, from our direction), but just feeling like we're there (or feeling like 'they' are there) is still great. And we could do that with our eyes closed.

In the case of blindness, they will get it for sure. The vast majority of things that cause long term blindness are physical, not psychosomatic. You probably do not have the latter. However.

Physical blindness should not impact visualisation ability.

There are indeed a few cases of multiples with different vision ability. But your doctor can tell you whether the problem lies in the brain or the eyes. If it is the latter, a tulpa is not a workaround.
