Genetic Memory

So I found this article, and I found it quite interesting. It doesn't specify if these memories or abilities can be found in the subconscious, but I wonder if so could a tulpa help to access them. I think so and since I know very little about my ancestry this is another reason to create a tulpa. If anyone has a fully sentient and vocal tulpa you should ask about it and post results. Otherwise any thoughts on the matter?

Assassin's Creed?

I say FRIK YES PLEASE

I would love this xD

When I manage to make my tulpa I know what I'm asking

Maybe, although a bit far-fetched, but what do I know.

I'm tempted to move this to Metaphysics just because of how outlandish the concept is. I have no memories of my ancestors' lives, and there definitely isn't a machine that can simulate those memories (if they even exist).

My progress report

Yes, this seems like it belongs in metaphysics, it's related, albeit not directly...

The above post does not contain facts.

q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.

So in response to all the replies so far I should specify that I don't think that you could be able to recall complete memories of your ancestors. I just think that maybe you could remember tiny details that have had an effect on your whole lineage. Like maybe a great grandparent moved to america from eastern Europe or something else that might effect your identity in some way. I'm not sure I'm getting my point across, but I hope everyone understands I do not think you could just lie down and remember every waking moment of your ancestors.

Why is this pinned? It should go in Research.

Tulpas are mental constructs and can only access what you can. Reading the article, that guy just got some feels from being in a certain place.

And that's how this thread ended up in the 'Important threads' section.

To my understanding, genetic memory doesn't actually hold any memories. It just holds dormant knowledge because something your ancestors did made it apparent that everybody else in the descendants to come might need that. You aren't going to find out that your great great great great great grandfather jumped into a volcano and lived.

The ability for tulpa to recall or not would be dependant on what or whether memory can be transferred or read through genetics in the first place, I would think.

Yeah, I wouldn't speculate that tulpa would actually be able to read genetic memory.
