Josh August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 How are (were) you going about hearing your tulpa externally? Not really sure where to start myself.
Pashoo August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 words Gah! Stop making sense! An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.
Virgil August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 Hurr... Lemme juss tell ya somethin, fella: Ah dun take kahndlee to folks asserting what might very well be mere assumptions and guesses based solely on their personal experi— oh, wait! I recognise you by your writing style. You are— eh, never mind. Well, you surely seem convinced of your half-baked ideas' truth, but I'd like to know the reasoning that produced them. I agree with Phi if tulpas' abilities are comparable to mental skills. Skills take time to develop and aptitudes vary greatly. Just as it can take one person more time than another to learn a foreign language while expending the same amount of effort, some hosts' tulpas may struggle to develop an ability, be it sapience, memory access, possession, being imposed; the ability to communicate verbally, mindscrew the host, evaluate definite integrals by numerical approximation, or other abilities tulpas are supposed to possess. Regarding the OP, (lasting) anxiety is an uncommon adverse effect of tulpaforcing, but in your case, it appears you're just overly worried by the seeming deficiency of progress. That would be really unwarranted considering you started only a week ago. However, if you don't see any apparent causes, it could be caused by tulpaforcing. If it really is, it should eventually pass. Bayesian inference

Well, you surely seem convinced of your half-baked ideas' truth, but I'd like to know the reasoning that produced them. It's not just personal experiences, but also observed tendencies of behaviors from other people I've read about on this forum and various tumblrs, plus some common sense. Psychology is just theories based on tendencies of behaviors. My ideas are just as valid or half-baked as any other. In the end, it apparently just comes down to who agree with who.
