Most of my questions have been answered by just browsing the forums but I wasn't sure where to find an answer to this.

Whenever I listen to music I get really inspired and make sort of a music video in my head to go along with the song. I was wondering if this sort of thing could be good or bad for tulpa creation, like if I was to imagine my tulpa singing lyrics or laying the smack down on a huge monster.

Yeah, you could do that. Assuming you mean imagining = "thinking" and not imagining = visualizing. (The latter would be parroting/puppeting) And be sure to tell your tulpa what you're doing, (s)he could get confused otherwise.

Opinions are pretty split up when it comes to puppeting your tulpa. I think that could be beneficial during the visualization process as long as you and your tulpa both acknowledge that it's you in control and not vice versa. Remember: if something feels like it's working then it probably is.

I'm not going to go all Fede on you now, but in my experience puppeting is totally not a bad thing. Just make sure not to produce movements too consciously, let them flow, and there you have it: you're not puppeting, just subconsciously suggesting your tulpa stuff to do. After some time you might start noticing movements that you weren't expecting - and that's it, really. Definitely more fun than keeping said tulpa in one place all the time, and probably less detrimental to the process too.

EDIT: Forgot to add an "imho" to the last sentence, but whatever - just, if by any chance you're like me and haven't got much control over keeping tulpae (and stuff) still while visualizing, worry not.

Thank you for the quick responses, I Think I was puppeting. I haven't gotten very far in yet so I don't think I'll be ready for any of this visualizing stuff for now.

I'll stick with working on personality and narrating with him all I can until I get some feedback from him.

Wat... When you think about some action happening, you *ARE* visualizing, though probably not so vividly.

Making your tulpa dance or hit a monster intentionally would indeed be puppeting. However if you animate the environment, you may find your tulpa reacting on her own.

Also, puppeting isn't so terrible as the guides say. If you do it forcefully or make her do something ridiculous, she'll likely be annoyed, but that's about it.
