Nikodemos September 1, 2012 September 1, 2012 TL;DR version in my mind: Subconcious parroting/puppeting = Your tulpa Name: Dante Gender: Male Form: Toa Mata Nui, a Bionicle(Amadeus made a sketch of him, kudos!) Stage: Narration, posession Being original since July 2012.
Josh September 1, 2012 September 1, 2012 This was one of the things I was stuck on, although I came to the conclusion that yes, your tulpa has it's own subconscious, but also it's subconscious is linked to yours, thus "sharing" a subconscious. All of the thoughts in your subconscious are in your tulpa's subconscious, and vice verse. However your tulpa's conscious and your conscious are completely separate. So yes, you could say that a tulpa has its own separate subconscious, but really all of what's in their subconscious comes from yours. I was going to ask about this, as Glass hangs out in my sub-c. (questions like "so she hangs out in her own sub-c?", etc.) Now, another question. Allegedly, conscious parroting is bad because it takes away the tulpa's free will, and eventually will lead to a servitor. I can't remember who it was, but there was someone who was creating a tulpa by consciously parroting so much that it became subconscious. The key to the method (I assume) was that he didn't believe in servitors. Thoughts?

I personally think of the mind as a large collection of unconscious thoughts (in the context of there being no "one subconscious" but rather unconscious thoughts), which normally there will be few collected by the consciousness (you) and used for thought. However with a tulpa, the collected unconscious now gets used by two conscious entities, which is very confusing at first but one can get used to it. Though it's actually kind of easy to accidentally have the same thought, which can trip up both the host and tulpa. Just my opinion. no

The key to the method (I assume) was that he didn't believe in servitors. Thoughts? You're probably thinking of Fede's. In his case he doesn't believe tulpae to be anything more than subconscious placebo, so it would make sense for him to think that such a method could work. JD1215 did something similar, only he instantly stopped the conscious parroting at one point. I personally don't believe parroting all the way through can lead to anything but a servitor, but you never know.
Starsaver September 2, 2012 September 2, 2012 But, when does starts all that magic with dream entering, memory recalling and their memories sharing?
Starsaver September 4, 2012 September 4, 2012 No, really, if emotions go firstly, who sending them? That's means something formed and has feelings, being somewhat separated from you already, how this will be connected with subconscious parroting development?
Jyde September 4, 2012 September 4, 2012 The subconscious *is* the one interfering in the process. It's what makes your tulpa. It's a good thing because we want the subconscious to take control of it.
Guest Anonymous September 4, 2012 September 4, 2012 Nice conclusion, Paxafarus. Or is it? Perhaps for some people, questioning themselves on the matter of parroting is necessary. Forces people to question their expectations on the matter, forces them to consciously construct new beliefs to counter their beliefs that hinder their progress. You can't create gods inside of yourself - even though they might originate from a better part of yourself than you are, and might represent perfection to you. We shall see. The subconscious *is* the one interfering in the process. It's what makes your tulpa. It's a good thing because we want the subconscious to take control of it. The subconscious is a chattering grimble that should behave itself. Needs more Superego.
